I agree. Too bad he wasn't more famous! I would have been the first in line to buy any solo cd's had they been recorded. I wrote to him years ago, and he was so gracious to respond by mailing me an autographed photo. Thanks for your comment.
This is another example of his great voice and technique. This really is second place because his _A te o cara_ is like no one else's. Technically, it is perfect. The high notes and breath-control are gifts that were the foundation of his many talents. If his talent with the double-bass is on the level of his singing ... ?
He sang so wonderfully. I wish he did not change his technique for the sake of sounding 'bigger'. He actually lost some brilliance in recent years. Sad... his technique was 2nd to none!
@@enricomariaiachetti7526 Corelli recorded A te o cara once, and it was transposed down a 1/2 step Here is a link to him singing it on YT ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oMC2_vErqK4.html
As he was singing this, and magnificently he was, I thought maybe this role was too lyric for his voice. What a fabulous instrument. Then I read how he is suffering now. What a shame as that was wonderful!
I'm wondering what you'd think of my recorded arias - I feel tempted to post one here to see if you'd be willing to give a review - because I know your ear - and mind - are exquisitely attuned - while most of those who compliment me are not.
I reviewed your YT channel too, and it appears that you are a prolific reader, which unfortunately is not common these days. You clearly have intellectual tastes and love to enrich and test your mind, and it shows in your videos and posts here on YT. I would be happy to listen to your recording. However, it's more important how you feel when and after you sing because I have always thought that singing is a wonderful expression of ones emotions. Just about everyone sings, but few are “excellent”.
@@operadog2000 I think of my singing - and in particular my opera singing - as an expression of my soul ... my immortal soul feels desperate to sing ... As a child, I could read but I had no interest in what adults had to say because I viewed them as "lost" and "confused". In my mid-20's, after graduating with my bachelor's, I became an avid reader because I knew that what the universities were teaching was rubbish ... so I began studying alternate perspectives on Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Economics, etc., while expanding my operatic repertoire which resulted in me becoming very comfortable with dozens of foreign languages so I went back to studying historic documents - in dozens of languages - which is where most of the evidence for my videos come from.
@@operadog2000 I began singing professionally in NY as a teen. I've performed from England to Hawaii ... across a span of over 7,000 miles ... but I'm not yet a world class soprano. My best work is in the history of our Earth - because the whole thing is documented in historic records while the "scientific community" has theories ... that are so far from the truth as to be preposterous nonsense.
One of the most underestimated tenors in the 1990s,and one of my best-loved tenors of all time, who was with a impeccable technic to sing Mozart, Belcanto and many Lyric roles. His messa di voce , ravishing pianissimi , amazing coloratura ,ringing high C#,D... what a shame RCA has never given him a chance to record a Recital album. 😭 And for years I searched in vain for even a single Live Recital recording of his.
