As I mention in the end of the video I feel it is if you are already invested into the XREAL Ecosystem but TLDR.. Its basically a mid teir cell phone with a stereo 3D camera that works much better than the original Beam.
@@vrgamerdude is there a similar competing product to consider if someone has not yet invested in any of the ecosystem ? I mean if I am considering xreal glasses+beam pro bundle - are there other similar combo options from others like TCL Viture Rokid or any other which i can consider and compare before pulling the trigger?
Yeah... Not gonna lie, since most phones are ditching the expandable SD card slot these days I totally forgot to mention that. Nice to have feature for sure so thanks for adding to the chat.
This didn’t work for first time has it been updated now the mix reality looks so cool can’t wait to try. It’s nice to see you so excited about this thought it was just me I love this quest 3 sub like.
Review: Xreal Air 2 Ultra & Beam Pro After spending a few days with the Xreal Air 2 Ultra and Beam Pro, here are my thoughts: Ultimate On-the-Go Display: This device is perfect for any Android app and streaming media. It’s truly the ultimate portable display solution. Seamless Connectivity: I’ve used it extensively with Anydesk, and thanks to Windows 11 Pro, I can use Android RDP to log directly into the console. It’s incredibly convenient. Screen Recording Limitation: The screen recording feature seems to be capped at 30 seconds, which might be a setting I haven’t discovered yet. However, this limitation doesn’t apply to 3D recording via the device. Specifications: Model: Xreal X4000, Android 14 Battery: 4300mAh Processor: 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 @1.80 GHz, 4 x ARM Cortex A55 @2.21 GHz Cores: 8 Cores, 3 Threads Resolution: 1080 x 1140 pixels, 300 DPI (Per Eye) Impressions: Field of View: The field of view is impressive, though future models will need to improve in this area to compete with the likes of the Apple Vision Pro. Display Quality: The screens are exceptional, with vivid colours that stand out. Performance: The 8GB model performs well, though the 6GB model might not be as robust. Overall, for the price, the Xreal Air 2 Ultra & Beam Pro offer a very impressive experience.
@@silverchin43 No need to keep you waiting for that answer... Yes it is compatible however only in screen mirror mode. So basically it would be no different than hooking it up to a mid tier cell phone at that point because you would not be able to use the nebula spatial UI. Hope that helps.
Thanks.. Glad you liked it and it really depends on face shape and size... for some folks it is a pretty tight seal but for others they can see a bit of light. Honestly for me I took the facial interface off completely and its AWESOME this way.. especially for Mixed Reality as it give extra perceived FOV due to having some sense of peripheral vision. Not great for deep immersion but if you haven't tried this yet.. find a good MR app like Miracle Pool, Ocean Rift or ASTRA and check out the difference!
different devices... This isn't trying to be or emulate XR glasses. I also like my Xreal Air 2 Pro's and Viture Pro's but the video quality on something like this actually is slightly better!
Great video. Subscribed! I'm trying to decide between the xreal air 2 pro with beam pro or the viture with some accessory. I really want to use some glasses to watch RU-vid while I cook, and as an external monitor for my MacBook. I think both can work as the external monitor, but I have a Nothing Phone 2 so I don't have display out, meaning I _think_ RU-vid while cooking is going to be best on the xreal air 2 pro with beam pro. But maybe there's some way to do it with the viture one 🤷♂️
With Mac VITURE would be best do to the Spacewalker app.. still gonna need a phone that supports vid out on USB c or the neckband which is excellent! Beam Pro and Xreal Air 2 Pro or upcoming Xreal Air 2 Ultra would also be a great combo but I still like the screen slightly better on VITURE.
Hey. You’re the only one doing comparisons all 3 gen 2 AR glasses and brands. Thx. Btw does the beam pro work with Viture pros. I’m thinking of getting that instead of neck band to work with viture pro Also you mentioned the mobile dock works with other brands. Can I use xreal air as my second pair of glasses with mobile dock and viture pro?
thanks.. Glad to do this and yes it does but it's no different than a cell phone without using Xreal glasses.. in other words all you would get is screen mirror mode so no access to the Nebula Spatial UI. Best combo IMHO right now is VITURE Pro and Neckband.
@@vrgamerdude thank you. I appreciate it. I heard bad things about the neck band mainly the loud fans. Maybe I’ll hold off and hope for a neck band pro
Where did you get the 100 difference? They are literally the same, 10 bucks difference. Plus, you also need prescription lenses on xReal if nearsighted, while Viture includes this feature built-in for most people.
Any comments on the companion software? My use case is more for extending my Macbook pro monitor. I have the xreal air 2 pro and the Nebula companion app sucks big time. Gives me headache all the time due to the unstable head tracking. Is the Spacewalker better? Thinking to jump over.
For MacBook the VITURE Spacewalker software is top notch.. Also works with iphone as well as Android and windows now. If you are a Mac user I can't reccomend VITURE enough.. they work best with Mac!
Could you answer this one question for me please? While the summer and prime sales are on now, which glasses would be best for me? The main use would be watching movies, browsing and playing games. Theres a lot of different scenarios I would use them for. Whether it's at home while im laid in bed or sat on the sofa. On my travels, especially on long haul flights to pass time. Also, for my job, I do night shifts at times, so it would definitely come in handy🤫😂 Would you recommend xreal with the beam pro or something else? Price is not an issue for me.
Hey so sorry I've been super busy and haven't been able to respond to a lot of comments the last few days.. as I stated in this video, especially for the use cases that you mentioned, I would currently recommend VITURE Pro with neckband and possibly the docking station and a second set of glasses if you travel with someone else.
@vrgamerdude no problem. Yeah I just been really confused with the two because everyone hypes over the xreals and apparently this beam pro is suppose to be the game changer. Ideally, I'd love to be able to do all of this wirelessly but I guess we aren't quite there yet.
What you've been seeing so far out there is from beta testers and not press or influencer reviews.. I am under embargo until at least the 16th.. and TBH my review may not come until around the 18th because you know... I actually have a life and a full time job and don't do this on anyone else's schedule but my own... So if you're upset about the wait blame XREAL for having anembargo and not me! 😖
@@vrgamerdudenot upset..lol Was just looking forward to it, as your review sold me on the xreal air 2 months back. I know you have a life..lol But still hopeful for your unbiased review as all we have seen so far is ppl promoting and not mentioning Any cons
@@monoxzide1073 thanks and sorry..... Just been a bit stressed lately trying to keep this channel running alongside my new job over at upload. Script is fully written and partially filmed and I'm really hoping to have it out by the end of this week or the weekend at the latest so stay tuned and thanks for sticking with me!
The point is is that a lot of people unfortunately can't travel to events like this to try new technologies before they are released so they rely on people like myself and my peers, who are blessed, to get opportunities like this to tell them our opinions so that they may make better informed choices when it comes to purchasing this tech? 😎
@@rodneyford3181 already tried it... Other glasses work but not with the spatial UI..... So in this case it's no different than hooking them up to any other Android phone and doing screen mirroring
Ironically that dumb neck thing is actually the best solution right now if you don't want to hook glasses to a phone or PC.. one thing a lot of people keep forgetting about is the fact that using something like this means you have no cord dangling to get snagged on things.. can't tell you how many times my Xreal or Rokid glasses have been ripped off my face because of that reason!
Currently in my opinion yes it is until at least the new generations of 6dof true AR glasses comes out from all three companies... hopefully later this year!
@@Aingeru18 If you shop directly on Vitures website using my code you are supposed to get a 10% discount on everything with the exception of the new Pro glasses. If it did not work for you please let me know and I will have my internal Viture contacts look into it.
Hi Don! Will the Viture Neck band work with the Rokid Max glasses? Will Viture's Pro Glasses work with the Rokid Station? Is Viture's Neck Band similar to the Rokid Station? I have the Rokid Max Glasses & Rokid Station and was thinking of getting Viture's neck band. Appreciate your response. Thanx
Yes it will work with an adapter that you can purchase and yes so far I have not had any issues swapping any glasses to any other station from any other manufacturer outside of the fact that specific features will only work for the glasses they are meant to be plugged into.. for example with the Viture neck band you can use any sets of glasses but screen pinning and 3D will only work if you are using Vitures... Same goes for devices like the new beam Pro that I am testing currently.. it will work with other manufacturer's glasses but only in screen mirroring mode so you do not get any of the spatial UI stuff. Currently I don't know of any truly universal device that will work with all the glasses.
@@ramoramow yes... Using their Spacewalker app they do. Was actually pretty cool testing this the other night where I had three virtual monitors hanging above my two IRL widescreen monitors... Obviously since the glasses are see-through and all of the monitors can interact with each other via Windows or Mac OS it was like I had five monitors surrounding me! 😎
This was an excellent, well-thought comparison and we're honored to be your #1 pick, Don - as always, so thankful for your appreciation of VITURE Pro and our ecosystem of accessories!
thanks Dude! new sub here...will go for sure for the Viture Pro...nad its neckband...and of course the controller!!! awesome quality of each component..what a company!!!
@@jumanjiserviciosTMC Cool.... If you decide to buy from VITURE directly don't forget you can use my code, "vrgamerdude" for 10% off all of your accessories! 😎
I ordered the viture pros as it seems less people have concerns and no blurry edges. As I am new to this tech i am rly curios on the perceived screen size thing. You having different glasses how would you describe it? I have an 85" TV like 2-3 meters from my couch. Will it look similar? bigger? Can I trick my brain to perceive the screen as huge? Can I get the feeling of sitting in a cinema? These are all my questions? xD great video thank you for the comparison
It really depends on face shape and size as well as eye distance to the lenses. To me my VITURE Pro's look to be around 100" TV screen as sitting on my couch. I measured this by overlaying the image in a passthrough mode and then by looking straight on at my 65" hanging on the wall. I didn't put a measuring tape to it but the perceived image I got would have been around the equivalent of what I mentioned here.
im getting the Xreal Air 2 Ultra with the Beam Pro in a few weeks. Have you wondered how the glasses and the upgraded companion device wil match up to the Viture Pro and its neck device? I have looked at other reviews of the ultra glasses and they all say the FOV, and audio are greatly improved from the Air 2 Pro. They are expensive, but I think they won't stay at that price forever. As the initial batch are aimed at developers although anyone can buy. But it's this new Beam Pro product that is really going to completely put it into another ball park from the Viture Pro. Don't worry I am sure they will emulate in their next version!. it has 6DoF also. Enabling hand & spacial, mesh depth tracking.. i think of the Beam Pro as a specially designed product as a spacial computer that can record in 3D and can be plated back @90fps using the Xreal Air 2 Ultra glasses. All with the Google play store with Zillions of app? Viture wont be able to touch that!
I will have a review of Beam Pro coming soon but until then the TLDR is that honestly it's not much different than a mid tier Android cell phone with 2 Usb c ports and a 3D camera. When ultra is out I think it will be a more needed device but until then if you already have a compatible phone you might not need it.
@@sendy.santiago I have only done this a few times and only if on a long straight highway in bright sunlight but yes it works really well... having google maps as a HUD in my car is really cool but as always I say do this at your own risk! As for being pulled over.. how would a cop even know these weren't sunglasses? I have walked around in public and never even gotten a second look as these don't stick out as far as other birdbath optics based XR glasses. 😎
For someone wearing prescription glasses like you, which would you recommend? Perhaps a video just on XR glasses for folks like us. I can't find a solid review on this topic.
@@h1ssg as I mentioned in this video both the VITURE and ROKID glasses offer diopter adjustments so if you fall within the specified ranges you won't need corrective lenses at all. If you do need prescription inserts however the company I prefer is VR Rock and you can find a link as well as a discount code in the description of this video.
@@bluebell1 I agree.. I love my XREAL Air 2 Pros and can't wait until they send me the Ultras to review soon.... But I can't agree more that they really need to up their game when it comes to software! I'm currently testing the new Beam Pro and so far I'm a little underwhelmed with the new nebula UI.
@@vrgamerdude I’m really curious as to you final review of the new beam. I have the old one and it’s ok but nothing special. I’m just glad I can connect to my iPhone her great visuals
@@bluebell1 I don't quite understand why another phone, Viture offers spacewalker for iPhone and it is great for watching 3d, vr180 and vr360 videos, Viture's software is just way ahead. And a low end or mid end phone is in nowhere working as smooth as an iPhone
I was about to order the Viture without doubt, but.... the Beam Pro changed my mind. If I could use it together with the Viture, I would want to have that combination, but since the Air 2 Pro and the Beam are in the same eco-system, I prefer this over the Viture. To me 3D it is and should be. Especially with those glasses.
I am thinking the same as you BUT I predict the beam pro copies will be standard for all companies moving forward. Viture for me and wait for a beam pro down the road.
@@SjaakSchulteis For sure. The tech is moving so fast its hard to know when to pull the trigger without getting buyers remorse because the next best thing comes out a week later
I asked XReal tech support about this, and they said the Vitures "might" work with the Beam Pro, but they "don't recommend it". So, I'm waiting until someone tries it. My guess is that it will be the same as using Vitures with the original Beam - the display works, but the 3DOF features don't work (smooth follow and screen pinning). I'm guessing you can install Space Walker on the Beam Pro, and use the Vitures that way, but the 3DOF stuff won't work in NebulaOS (just guessing 'til we hear from someone who can test it)
@@FromDesertTown That's unfortunate, but understandable. That's why for now my attention goes to xreal untill viture has something similar. Momentarily I postpone any purchase until later this year, then I decide.
@@Shark-fj2sz So where in this video do I talk about The VITURE One glasses? Obviously you didn't see that this is a comparison between The VITURE Pro and other more current glasses from the other manufacturers. It is widely acknowledged that The VITURE Pro has no screen edge blurring and this has been completely solved now with the new Sony micro OLED panels.... The screen is crystal clear! Maybe next time watch the video or read the description that way you can make an informed comment on the subject matter! 🤨
@@vrgamerdudealthough liked your video and also I'm waiting for your beam pro impressions. However, just a small correction. Viture Pro has no screen edge blurring, has been completely solved - is not correct. People are reporting blurriness. Totally depends on which glasses fit well on which face type.
@@ketley2aug okay yes I will completely agree there it is really dependent on several factors including ipd as well as eye depth and face shape and size... I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones who never saw the blurriness or distortion in any of the first generation VITURE products. It was also similar for me with the original pimax VR headsets where several people reported seeing distortions in the periphery but I could never see them. Might also have to do with the fact that I have been testing and using immersive technologies like this for over 25 years now so my eyes have grown accustomed to anomalies.
@@vrgamerdude 🙌. Is there a chance that you may release beam pro video earlier ?? There are already other reviewers beam pro videos coming out. Maybe you could too ?
@@ketley2aug there is a difference between press and influencer embargoes versus beta testers... What you are seeing now is coming from people in their beta program. I was given very specific instructions that I cannot give any full review of unit until the embargo lifts... Trust me I really wish I could!
Big fan of Viture here and can't agree more that Viture is the best! I hope more details are shared here, as I was so impressed by all the details of Viture, one example could be ambient mode turning off the dimming film automatically. From product to customer service, they just care about their users, and I couldn't be happier being a Viture user!
Looks like paid review for me. At viture reddit lot of information what they have very bad colors on viture pro and right now they are working (not ready at this moment) on firmware update to support more color profiles. Also 4000 nits it clear marketing, because sony just not have such microdisplays with 4000 nits. I think what xreal air 2 and viture pro using exactly same microdisplay from sony. Also people talking what sound quality and volume actually better in xreal air 2...
I have not been paid for this video by any of these companies with the exception that all three of them sent me their glasses for free, so these are my personal opinions... as I mentioned a few times in this video people perceive and see these things differently. As someone who's been in the consumer electronics industry for over 25 years I can't tell you the number of times that I've had people look at the exact same image and describe it to me completely opposite of what the other says they saw.
@@vrgamerdude but as reviewer, you need to know what 4000 nits microdisplays still not exists... Also reading viture/xreal reddits to know more about common problems with reviewed gadgets = may be good way to go.
Doesn't xreal reddit have way more complaints and they are switching to viture; as a long time viture user, I can firmly tell you viture has been constantly improving, not perfect but definitely the best on the market, and the brightness on Pro is noticeably brighter than any other glasses I have tried
@@alexkavak5055 Not every tech video you watch is a "review" and if this was a full technical "review" I might actually mention stuff like that more in depth. Oh and if those slides are wrong, well you can blame it on the manufacturers because these all came from their publicly available materials whic I find most to be slightly deceptive from all 3 companies mentioned here. OH.. and BTW, this video is meant to be an overview and comparison piece where I am just giving my personal opinions of what I see and think.... Sorry it wasn't technical or deep enough for ya! 🙁
Thanks for this! I tried viture recently and found them to be overall too small for my face and even with nosepieces i could net get them to a good place where the screen was centered well. Xreal’s adjustable angle of the glasses is an underrated feature in my mind but i will say i agree with the screen quality and brightness of viture being slightly (thought noticeably) better. Really looking forward to your Beam Pro review. It looks really promising and i am hoping the amazing experience of the viture neckband is even improved upon by the beam pro
Yeah If we could just have the comfort feature of XREAL with the display quality of VITURE and the screen size of ROKID I'd be in heaven... Throw in the 6dof tracking of the upcoming XREAL Air 2 Ultra's and I'd never take them off! 😎 Beam Pro is cool but I'm still a bit on the fence with it.. more to come soon so stay tuned!
8:57 is where he answers. He chose Viture Pros.Worth watching for the comparison. I have Xreal Air 2 Pro/ and Beam Pro bundle on order, debating on cancelling for the Viture, but I do like the beam pro for the 3D Photos and the Viture Neck thing looks bad to navigate. Anyone here with both want to chime in?
Well obviously I have both and I'll chime in.. beam Pro is pretty damn cool but essentially just a mid-tier cell phone with a 3D camera and an extra port for your glasses so you can charge and play. The neck band from Viture is a wearable computer that you don't have to hold in your hand. I love the fact that it just slips around my neck with a very short cord to the glasses so I have nothing dangling to catch on things as I move about my day. As for navigation of the neck band, you can do this in multiple different ways! My favorite method of navigation is simply using my dualshock 4 controller because the little mouse pad even works this way. For productivity you can also pair a full Bluetooth keyboard and mouse setup or a more compact travel mini foldable BT keyboard mouse combo and those work just as well. Lastly there is also an app from VITUTE that you can put on your phone which turns it into a mouse and keyboard for the neck band so as you see there are multiple different options for navigation available on the device! Hope this helps you and making your decision 😎
