Man, I've been trying to fix my lawnmower trying to figure out how to adjust the speed because it won't run. I removed all the pieces near the transmission and today I see in your video that you only adjust it from that cable hehehe, it's crazy thanks for the video.

Everyone says 4-5 inches is perfect but I’m here because you are saying I can go shorter😂 3.5 looks much better IMO but I haven’t been doing it because I have bare spots and wanted to create the best growing practices. I have too much shade, haven’t fertilized hardly at all and only weed control has been one app of Prodiamine. Going to cut shorter, more often, find a cheap fertilizer do get down 4lbs and try to think the massive oak trees I have. Definitely need to add some pods now that were in peak growing weather in South FL

Definitely would like a video on fertilizing. When to do it, many lb to the ground, difference between slow release and instant. What about pure granule urea diluted and sprayed? I hear that is the cheapest after trying DEF 😂 I have an acre and can’t afford to throw down 4lb a year of yard mastery but my yard needs help

Im from Fort Worth, Texas, now living in Dallas County. St Augustine was almost totally unheard of when i was growing up over 70 years ago. Everybody had beautiful Bermuda grass lawns. The old folk got it right back then and it still stands today. Bermuda can withstand heat and drought much better than St. Augustine unless you have a lot of shade trees. Lost my trees and St Augustine lawn about 3 or 4 years ago from an horrible heat weave. I put down Bermuda seeds and i love it! 😊
@LKNDIY
@LKNDIY Месяц назад
Interesting, thank you for sharing! Fescue is most common out here which is wild because it goes dormant twice, once in summer, once in winter. Zoysia needs way too much water in warmer months. The challenge with Bermuda for me is the ideal height; my property is not level, many bumps, so a 1 inch cut is out of the question.

My dads house that i now take care of always had st Augustine, even when it was my grandmas 40 plus years! Grass died when my dad got sick. Paid a gardener to help reseed. They took everything down to soil, reseeded and tons of weeds we’ve never had with deep roots came out! Looks to be different grasses and some of the st Augustine came back!! Trying to get st Augustine back in here. Wondering if I can do plugs and it will take over the other grass? Also need help with weeds 🥲 I’m in Southern California
@LKNDIY
@LKNDIY Месяц назад
Hello! You Could definitely re-sod st Augustine grass in there. I’d definitely glyphosate the lawn and wait 3+ weeks to sod after application. Being in SoCal you should have access to st Aug sod. Other option is to plug like I did, but weed management is intensive work when plugging, and I’d still recommend killing all existing grass/weeds. Third option is to let the st Aug take over naturally, but this will take a few years and your lawn will not look too good in the near term. Hope this helps!

Just picked up 2x50lb bags from SiteOne by recommendation from my neighborhood "reel mowers" group. I was previously using Andersons PGF Complete, and while I loved it (started using in 2019), the cost has jumped more than 55% in the last 5 years! I got 100lbs for $62, compared to what would be 90lbs of PGF for $275!! My neighbors that use this have professional 20"+ reel mowers, and are able to put down crazy stripes and their yards are a dark hunter green, so I'm excited to see the results!
