@@LKNDIY I think the two different formulations may have to do with Imidacloprid being restricted now in a few states. I was specifically looking for Imidacloprid because in my research I kept reading that products that only contain lambda or gamma cyhalothrin, bifenthrin, cyfluthrin or permethrin won't work for grubs because they bind to thatch and don't move down into the soil. I guess Imidacloprid works by the plants and grass absorbing it and then kills insects that then eat the plants, plus it kills on contact. Michigan State University has an interesting online artical on insecticides for grubs. When I watched your video I was curious which active ingredients you were using. I never heard of Duocide before so looked it up, interesting to see Carbaryl in it since that's what was in Sevin before and they switched. I read they want to restrict that stuff too, I think in CA you may need to be a licensed professional to use it.

I'll also add that the Bioadvanced Complete Insect Killer with 0.1% lambda cyhalothrin as the active ingredient is similar to the less expensive Triazicide Insect Killer for Lawns which has 0.05% Gamma Cyhalothrin as the active ingredient. According to a articles online Gamma Cyhalothrin at half rate is equivalent to the full rate of Lambda Cyhalothrin. I'm finding the Triazicide around $8 cheaper than Bioadvanced per 20lb bag and they cover the same rate.

Funny you should ask! I decided today to add bioadvance to the front yard after wowing today. Bugs are back. The duocide did not work as well in my experience. The backyard is still good 👍
