We are the "Cotton Pickin Kids"! we are a family of 13 who grew up singing and playing bluegrass music. As the saying goes, "Bluegrass is the best music because it sounds the same when the power goes out." Each child was taught at a young age to play various instruments, whether it be the guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, or harmonica. They would often play for family and social gatherings.
On one occasion, a gentleman asked Fabio "Papa"what their band's name was. Fabio laughed and said, "We don't have one yet." The man replied, "Well, those kids can sure pick!" Fabio agreed and said, "Those Cotton Pickin Kids can sure pick!" And that is how we got our name.
We are so grateful for being born and raised in such a large and loving family, smack dab in the heart of Alabama. You really can't ask for much more than that. We are truly "Cotton Pickin Blessed"!
WHEN are ya'll coming near COLUMBIANA?! We enjoy great music too and even have a nice, fine, new, arts center that hosts lots of live performances. COME SEE US! Promise I'll be there.😊
This one really should get airplay. Well sung and played. Although I hate it that Thérèse put down the fiddle and bow, the extra animation really adds to the video. You folks did great!
Cute and incredible. I worry though, when does better stage presence and beautiful girls become more important than wholesome family music? I hope they are careful. The temptation of fame and fortune has led many artists sell out.
I sometimes wonder what you guys are going to do when everybody is old and gray and wrinkled and bald like me. Will you still call yourselves the cotton picking kids? I hereby grant you permission. 2 retain that. The name even when none of you are kids anymore. 😁
I love the new single! It is very catchy! I hope it gets a lot of play time on radio stations because people will love it if they get a chance to hear it.
