Learning to speak a language isn't about cramming word lists and grammar drills. Our programs, powered by the Conversation Based Chunking™ method, help you absorb language patterns so you can understand native speakers, have fluent sentences roll off the tongue and chat away. All in 15-20 minutes a day!
Our method: - Real-Life Conversations - Innovative Methodology (no word lists and grammar drills!)

Thank you for this video, it was very helpful and encouraging. Even though I can tell my Spanish is getting better each week, using it (especially in public) still makes me anxious. I'm learning to embrace the imperfection and just do my best each time, and always be open to learning new things.
Alberto 😅❤

Just discovered this channel. I absolutely love the little sketches in 3 parts - they have helped me so very much and the humour kept me engaged! Well done, Maura, thanks lots. Would love to see more!!
Try Jive Radio. It is NPR stories from Latin America with everyday people speaking in their normal voices with an transcript and an English translation that can be activated next to it. It is for students of Spanish. You hear and read it as many times as you would like and then listen without the transcript. It really develops your ear.
dear Maura, sorry for a silly question ( I just started learning Spanish less than a week ago :) why did you use "abrieron" in the sentence of: en una tienda abrieron recientemente" . " abrieron" is used for ellos/ellas/ustedas ? I'm a little confused...

Una pregunta mejor sería: "¿A qué edad empezaste a ir a la escuela?". Y, ¿ya hablabas un idioma? Así que, ¿llevabas unos seis años aprendiendo tu idioma? ¿Lo hablaba con fluidez? ¿Cuántos años más "aprendiste" esa lengua para poder hablar de cualquier tema? Hmmm . . .
I noticed that your videos are in Spanish. But what about those of us who don't understand Spanish or don't understand it fully. But are trying to learn?
If you are using Netflix, Prime Video or something like that, check to see if audio description is available in your target language because that also introduces a lot of vocabulary. Por ejemplo, "un coche azul para delante de la casa. Un hombre rubio que lleva gafas de sol sale del coche."
It personally took me around a year... I started in the beginning of 2022, after I went to Mexico in April 2022, I was so motivated and I watched telenovelas (Teresa) daily, and watched RU-vid videos by Spring Spanish and Butterfly Spanish + taking notes, and 3 months after I was speaking a bit and understanding everything very well. I continued even chatting with Mexicans and Spaniards (because I live in Europe). By now I speak honestly very well and have a certificate (B1)❤️
I love you guys. But without the subtitles, I'm lost. How do I look up a word when I don't know what you're saying. If you have to go all español, the n at least can you do subtitles so I can figure out what you're saying? And I do love your classes, don't get me wrong. Gracias!
There an machine generated transcript that has time stamps and is pretty accurate because Paulisíma enunciates very well. Look for a Show Transcript button under the video description.
This is targeted more at beginning intermediate learners. If you are just starting, I recommend watching lessons targeted at beginners who are starting out. It takes time and consistency, but you will get there little-by-little.
got a question about verbs in spanish. I've found a lot of free online resources to learn about verbs and I've been focusing on present tense verbs. But I feel ready to start learing past and future tense verbs. Anyone know of any free online resources to explore the other two tenses? :)
No estoy segura si he entendido "No simple, lo siguiente" correctamente, debido a esa "No." Se dice "NO simple," pero ¿significa "SÍ, absolutamente"? ¿Estoy en lo correcto?

If you don’t have a toothbrush, believe it or not, eat ice cream. Seriously, ice cream is the answer to everything. Well, and tacos. But I don’t recommend eating tacos in lieu of brushing your teeth. 😊
I found with both french and spanish that watching shows with subtitles ( in french and spanish) was crucial for learning how to distinguish the words. With both, initially * couldn't hear what they were saying at all, despite knowing the language fairly well. Subtitles allow you to split up the words from what initially seems like a continuous stream of undifferentiated syllables, and gradually you learn to interpret the spoken language at speed. Even though I know french quite well now, I still tend to put up subtitles - mostly I don't read them, but every now and then a phrase or perhaps even just a word is not clear, and I can quickly look at the subtitles for clarification. That way, I don't miss out on learning opportunities.
Hello, I like what you said the only problem that I have is I’m interested in a Venezuelan woman and she’s married now I am older her, but she likes me and she likes to hug and kiss me, but it goes to back that she’s married and it goes back to. I am the first black guy that she was actually interested in, so I’m lost and confused with the whole situation. I told her that I will stop texting her and calling her and stop being nice in that romantic way with her and she tells me no she just doesn’t know what to say but she wants everything and likes everything and we work together
Soy estadounidense, y me cae muy mal a nuestra media. Solo queremos dividir la gente y nos hacen enojados. Deseo visitar a México pronto. Conozco a muchos Mexicanos y siempre practico el español con ellos :)
