They should've fired Shelton long ago, but He should've been fired last night after the game. If they don't fire this guy after the last game it'll be sending a clear message to the fans that they don't care about winning next year either.

Neither Nutting or cherington want to win if they did they would sign better free agents i'm not talking about superstars like Ohtani but better then pitchers who have an era of over 12.00 and hitters that hit 20 hrs but a batting avg of 180 all or nothing hitters how about pitchers with an era of just under 4.00 and hitters that can hit 25 hrs and a 250 avg is that too much to ask. also they would make better trades. instead of trading Josh belll for two shit pitching prospects or jameson taillon for abunch of mediocre prospects. we need better players we also need a better developmental staff. the pirates are where potential goes to die.
I believe that when hurdle and shelton were hired they were told that the pirates werent going to win but just try to be competitive ! shelton is terrible ! he has a small ball club yet NEVER plays small ball ! the 3 games that shelton blew against the cubs were the 3 worst games I can remember the pirates playing he should have resigned after that ! nutting, cherington, and shelton will never produce a winner ! MLB needs to step in and force bob"good for "nutting to sell the team. pirate fans have suffered far too long !
Thanks DK, you said exactly and sadly, my thoughts on this team. Live many of the players and wish as one voice they expressed their disillusionment on the state of this team. Like you, tough to care and if they do nothing I will not care next season. Go Steelers and Pens!!!!
the most disappointing thing is how Cruz at 2? years old and with all his talent, still has no determination, no work ethic, very lazy, he's dumb; compound that with Shelton's unwillingness to discipline him in any way shape or form and basically become an enabler for that type of play. meanwhile other guys like Reynolds, Gonzales, IKF put in the work and have to endure a loser teammate like Cruz.
Tellez, sacrifices his pride pitching for this thankless organization just so you (DK) could pin a tail on the donkey. What some won’t do for a few clicks!
Cruz fell asleep and got picked off second base yesterday to end the final home game of the season, DK. If this is a glimpse of ascendancy, what does another missed opportunity look like?
DK, I completely agree 100 percent with the opening statement. Yes The Steelers and Penguins haven't had much playoff success, but like you said you know those two teams are committed to improving their teams and trying to win and they will actually pay money to keep their good players and will go and spend money to get other talent. The Pirates, outside of the Bryan Reynolds contract last year, don't do that. It's a shame because you have a generational talent in Paul Skenes, and the Pirates are going to probably waste his talent.
I got the hyped up email about "Fanfest" in January the same day the Rowdy story blew up. For the first time yesterday I turned off the game before it ended when Cruz got picked off for the 2nd time. This is a tone deaf organization that is out of touch with reality and is pizzing away their young talent and their skills. Can't blame DK for the hiatus. Why cover a team that thumbs it's nose at the fans, the city and a once great franchise that was the embodiment of Pittsburgh.

DK, you are the voice of the masses! The enlightened, professional voice for so many. It is hard to continue to invest time and emotion into Pirates fandom when the leadership’s commitment to win is legitimately questionable. Thanks for what you do and how you do it!
I stopped going to games two years ago. When they were 9-2 in April, I called this collapse when everyone here was talking playoffs. Crap rolls downhill and When? Cherrington, Raygun Shelton and King K (Andy Paines) are crap rollers!

DK, just do the Pirate shot during the season or when there's something really newsworthy if you need a break. I'll miss it but sounds like you might need it.
As I've been saying for over a year, Shelton will sooner or later be the scapegoat. Guess that's what he gets for being Cherington's stooge. Haines will go too.
