The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) is the professional organisation for about 6000 specialist anaesthetists (Fellows) and 1500 anaesthetists in training (trainees).
One of Australasia's largest specialist medical colleges, ANZCA, along with its Faculty of Pain Medicine, is responsible for the training, examination and specialist accreditation of anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists and for the standards of clinical practice in Australia and New Zealand. The College also plays a significant role in the advancement of anaesthesia in south-east Asia and South Pacific island countries.
I would simply state that about 2018, I went to a leading cancer centre for a pre surgery consult with an anaesthetist. I arrived 15 min early. Receptionist couldn't find my extensive medical history record that I had previously completed. As a result I was called to see a nurse last (prior to seeing the anaesthetist) until about 5 hours later. Whilst talking with the nurse, the anaesthetist walked past and said goodbye to the nurse, who said "aren't you going to see Mr..." The anaesthetist then got very grumpy and rude to me. I Decided never to use the facilities of that hospital again because of the anaesthetist! Caring for people at their most vulnerable.......
