ANZCA continues to work to grow and maintain the First Nations specialist anaesthesia and pain medicine workforce; and ensure cultural safety for both patients and doctors.
We spoke to Aboriginal fellow and RAP Working Group member Dr Angus McNally, RAP Working Group chair Dr Susie Lord, and CPD Committee deputy chair Dr Michael Barlev about the importance of cultural safety, how you can meet some of the cultural safety requirements in the ANZCA and FPM Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program, and why reflection is an important component.
