I play games on PC, most of which are FPS games. Right now I'm mainly focused on speedrunning Max Payne 1 and Max Payne 2, so you'll see speedruns of these games, and other content based around Max Payne.
it's incredible how you have to do the entire "mob-war" chapter just because you can't double jump over a single wall hahahahaha maybe you can push a box or a pizza box there and use it to propel yourself upwards and skip the entire level.

Thanks! It is all timing-based, like most tricks in this game, but here is how you do it. So, start to reload with any weapon. I would recommend the 9mm pistol so you can use my vid or another speedrunner's vid as a visual for the timing. At a certain time during the reload animation, you want to do a neutral jump. Immediately after you press the jump key/button, you want to start moving forward. If you did the timing right you will get the reload superjump :)
Yeah, the level design in this game is fucking awesome! Remedy wanted the levels to be more sprawling in MP1 as well, but I presume they encountered technical limitations.
Thank you so much for the commentary and the explanation of tricks, i'm trying to learn the speedrun of this game and it's really helpful. One question though, your final time is said to be 41:09.860, but the final cutscene showing us how the antenna falls down, starts approximately at 41:10.20, and the final split was even 41:11.11. Can you please explain how did you end up with 41:09.860?
another "game" where your enemies die in one shot and you can take 500 shots. you're already playing with cheats on because the game is made for babies
Lots of testing, learning something about how the game works, and more testing based on that. It was a fun experience for me to push this game to its limits and see how exactly it works and what's possible and not possible because of that! Ofc, this speedrun is the result of the community's work and not just my own, so I just worked off of the groundwork that was laid before me.

Yeah the IL strats I go for are the fastest, but they are usually pretty hard to pull off in a full run, so I opt for safer and slower strats that are more consistent in some areas. As I get better I will go for more and more risky strats for sure, but I can still save a lot of time just using the strats I'm currently using 😎

35:03 I never saw this part of the level. And Mona is just standing there in the hallway, MAKING MAX DO ALL THE WORK. 😆 Very cool venture out of bounds and, of course, a GOAT-ed run. 💪
I swear at the beginning of the level and during the first gunfight sometimes Mona will shoot at Max. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's happened to me multiple different times
