You can bend softly the metal head band to relax the grip on the ears. It’ll loosen up if you bend and hold it. Also, you have good vocal tonality. You should audition for voice acting for games or anime’s etc or narrator.
They actually squeeze out a little more bass than my 800's although they have neither the resolution or the soundstage. And yes I did use both on Sennheisers own amp dac at around 2K..I wish these would have been available a year or two ago as I also bought pair of 650's for nostalgia and I love them but these sound so good and I mean really good!!
I just purchased these, I have a pair of LCD-2c and some 600 series cans. These are pretty much a sidegrade for the LCD-2c as they weigh too much for my neck to deal with over the course of a few hours.
As I understand the line out isn't even fixed level, it's literally just in parallel with the energizer. Which means your energizer effectively isn't in the chain.
How’s the sound signature (technical performance) between the go bar and the micro iDSD signature? The micro iDSD signature (finale) is on clearance right now for a little under the Go Bar Kensei. I’m looking for a portable device I can haul into the office daily. Smaller footprint is ideal but would prefer the better DAC section between the two. I would be driving HD600, HE1000SE mainly. Second question, How does your iDSD signature (Sound signature) compare to the SU-8 (I’m running the exact same stack setup paired with the the THX amp)
I had both at some point but the Sundara broke after 3 weeks, since I got them at a discount they just refunded me the money. Sundara had really inaccurate imaging but it had a huge soundstage and nice instrument separation. HD560s produce really nice and punchy bass with leather pads, they just need a little EQ. Sundaras barely fit my huge head, HD560s has space for even bigger heads and their clamp force loosened up a lot (in a good way).
I'm curious, as someone who uses PEQ on all my headphones, would it matter which arya I choose? The only one on amazon is the new stealth ver whatever it's technically called. Rtings rates the older arya slightly higher than the new one, so I wondering does this even matter if I'm going to use PEQ?
Mine randomly stopped turning on today. Plugged them in, red light on. Charged for a morning shift at work, red light off. Try turning them on and they go on, connect via Bluetooth to my phone and then immediately power off. Repeatable, happens every time. Will probably claim my warranty.

Just picked up a pair of V2's brand new for £250 and yes. They're a really nice upgrade from my AKG's K702's.
What a great comparison. Tons of detail, and all in reference to specific test tracks (I wish reviewers did that more). At the same time, there was no extra "fluff", rambling, or unnecessary/vague descriptions. Thanks for the great content and good luck with future videos!
The designer of the R70x actually took a lot of inspiration from the HD600 & 650, honestly they sound more like a 600 series headphones than the 660S and 660S2
i bought my x2hr's for 60,- second hand with new pads included, no amp, no other costs. this is hands down the best cost to performance ratio i have ever heard, especially with EQ tuning
I have been watching you since you were doing (no face) reviews.. Can you suggest a dac amp combo / single unit under $200, for sundara. I am thinking of fiio k11 r2r but its single ended power output makes it doubtful. schiit magni unity with dac is another i have in mind.
I really love seeing a face behind the voice with your newer videos. Keep up the work my guy. I'm very unfamiliar with wireless headphones these days, but not a day goes by where I'm not thankful to have a pair of bathys. They aren't the most comfortable and the anc/passive mode is whatever, but they have a perfectly neutral/slightly warm-tilted sound. They easily have the best timbre for string instruments out of all my other Focals which is pretty nuts to me. They're just a damn good pair of wireless headphones...though you definitely wouldn't consider going for a jog with them on your head with their weight and price. They're more so for adding some sonic elegance when cleaning your toilet or doing laundry.
13:10 What version were you listening to? You should try the SACD version cause the drums sound more like its recorded from the drummers head at the kit imo.
Also recommend building a SACD library if you really want to enjoy these headphones, only problems that might occur is playback. With a foobar2k plugin you can play it but the problem lies with having a DAC that supports DSD64, most ones with 32bit 384khz support the crazy DSD128+ formats.
Thanks, the main thing I wanted to know was if using a wired connection makes a difference. These seem like a nice compromise: Use wired at home and bluetooth on the go or doing chores
I have mine modified (back foam removed and metal grill added on the magnet for protection) and the sound stage is incredible! It's rather easy to play with smartphone Unfortunately, the ear pads turned flat after just 2 months of use (I have a big skull). Instead, I get Brainwavz velour pads and the sound changed barely.
