How can I reconcile my desire to identify as a fish with my career in customer service, considering the potential negative impact on my professional image? As someone experienced in the ways of the sea, what guidance can you offer?
Another great and engaging video. Particularly enjoyed the doggies. Fishing with dogs is an art I have not mastered. Ellie likes to plunge in! You are also getting closer to my neck of the west in NorCal. Maybe someday you'll do a show from here!
I am 58 years old and when I was about 14 (1980) we lived in the Sacramento area and my Father and Uncle took me up to Pyramid Lake to do this ladder thing. I swear I though at the time they were total idiots. It was freezing and I sat in the truck most of the time lol! I was the idiot apparently!
Great information, as always. I've watched all your casting videos, but it's nice to get a refresher in this video. Sort of off-topic, but I remember seeing somewhere that you're not a fan of Scandi casting? Is my memory accurate? If so, what is it that you don't like about Scandi style?
I have seen a few videos on casting and I have also had lessons, and to be honest this, in my opinion, is the best video and the best guidance I have heard, or seen. Thank you Simon, and thank you New Fly Fisher. I will share this with everyone I know who fly fishes, because at the end of the day, we are always learning, there is always room for improvement, and the way this video is approached and explained is fantastic. I cannot recommend it enough!
I beg to differ. It's a very fun way to fish and the takes are a blast. I catch fish often enough to make my fishing far more enjoyable than staring at an indicator or tight lining. I still like my one handed rods too. Just another way to fish!
A great fly! I tie a tube fly based on the original pattern. I use fox hair rather than marabou for durability. I also use a fluorescent green fleck tube with fluorescent liner … brass cone and an orange silicone tube on the rear for the hook keeper. I’ve had really good luck with it! Love your tying videos!!!
Did you guys just steal this video from the original uploader? This is "Making The First Cast" - Far Bank Fly Fishing School, Episode 4 from the Far Bank youtube channel.
You are right on target so far all of the results of the cast that you have mentioned had happened to me , back snag on grass and trees, the air knot wow what a train wreck, the crack bye-bye fly, like just throwing cash away, love it. Getting better and more confident.
hey im not trying to like beat down any record but like, the record trout in this river, some saltwater people use as bait. like i use 3 pound flat fish to catch 20lb-50lb lingcod. just let that sink in
