My name is Alex Chacón from Texas USA. I'm an Award Winning Cinematographer who quit medical school at age 23, sold everything I had and drove my motorcycle from Alaska to Argentina in 500 days in 2012. I posted videos during my journey to bring people along for the adventure, and since then it has snow balled into what it is today.
Now I do the same in a more professional and informative capacity as I continue to travel the world on different projects, personal goals and film ideas I want to capture. Documenting a profound Human Journey in quick cinematic short films, and behind the scenes vlogs

I was in Giza about 3 weeks ago. I was almost disappointed at the lack of attention from the touts. I guess I had seen all the harassment videos and expected the worst. I entered the site at the Great Pyramids and exited near the Sphinx. I then walked up to the main road before taking a local bus back to the metro. There were certainly a lot of police around so I was wondering if there has been a clampdown on rogue operators. I guess over the years I have gotten used to street touts bothering you in various parts of the world and brushing them off has become 2nd nature. Luxor for me remains the worst place in Eqypt but overall I enjoyed the country and will be going back however the complete lack of organisation is one of those things that sticks in my mind.
What ever the rules of for that country may be significantly different from the USA . So know where you are walking and understand the culture don't act like you are in the US when you are clearly not
I was in Bolivia in the spring and fell in love with this country. Now I dream of going there on a motorcycle. Incredibly beautiful video. Thank you for it. Now my wish map has beautiful pictures from it.
Happy 10th Anniversary To This Wonderful Travel Video Special!!! You hit over a million which you deserve, it’s one of my favorite RU-vid videos since I was 11 when it first came out, you inspired us to travel the world ourselves, make ourselves happy, giving us good feeling, I can see you enjoyed that kind of an experience to travel places which I do the same thing, cheers for your run my friend!🙏✈️🧳💙
There are giant tree stumps, giant tree limbs and roots all over the earth, and some underground because of the great flood. They became petrified. You can see the leaves when you fly over.
the problem with the Egyptian police is once they become one they thing they are above the law and everyone must obey them but when you know how to deal with them and with the physical abuse (by having someone in a high position in the country) they will become like your servants you tell them to go right they go right i wont deny that some actually do their job properly
The problem with the tourist channels on youtube is that they visit poor streets and low end places which could get them pickpocketed/robbed/scammed They need a local to help them so they dont end up in a dark alley way The Egyptians are one of the most kindest and friendliest people in the world
It depends from which side you look at it. If you consider scamming, begging, touting, perverting, pickpocketing and harassing elderly tourists friendly than it is called the Egyptian hospitality. But the rest of the world doesn’t share that view. The rest of the world considers Egyptians as shameless uneducated Stone Age greedy scavengers, neanderthalers, $avages, beasts and an!mals on two legs. So again, it totally depends from which side you look at it
Lol you lucky you were white, doesn't matter what passport or nationality you are, if you were black and have the USA / Europe passport you would be taken and thrown in the van without hesitation. The days where Egypt respect USA passport is over. Didn't you hear about foreigners targeted and getting deported after weeks in really bad condition? No embassy, no phone allowed, once they happy they ask you to buy your ticket get deported.
My boss went to Egypt. We are Latin Americans. He told us Egypt is a gonorrhea of a country, he went there for a high profile corporate event at luxurious locations. 🤣🤣🤣
hello..i am an Egyptian and i live in Cairo ... i want you to know that the regime in Egypt is a smaller version of the regime of North Korea ... the ruler of Egypt is a military general ..El SiSi .. and to keep his throne safe he gave total freedom for all police individuals to do whatever they like to do .. with no punishment .. so .. if they shot you they probably would be punished with something like 2 years in prison which will be reduced later to be something like 9 month .. and after that the one who shot you will get back to service .. !! .. they were worried because you are foreigner and it means there will be a foreign government supporting you .. if you were Egyptian you would be shot ...just like that .. or at least go to prison for 5 years for being a terrorist !!! ... at least 80 thousand Egyptians are in prisons right now for similar cases ...
I loved my visit to Egypt 🇪🇬 I went there alone and had the most amazing time. I never told anyone that I was American to avoid getting ripped off 😂😂😂 I told them I was Mexican even though I’m not and pretended to only speak spanish and they will leave me alone 😂😂😂
Scamming losers. It reminds me of a country I've been to before. When their poverty levels skyrocket, their cops trained by idf still wo t take responsibility. Greater Israel.
Guys I am an Arabian guy who realy felt upset about what this tourist confronted, Actually I am writing this to acknowledge you that these are bad guys which the locals also suffred from them, I hope that you didn't had a bad notion about us, as a lot people of you have preconceived notion that the arabian society is full of theives and criminals, so I hope that to let this in your minds that in every society there is good and kind people, while having a bad and thieves people as well.
Wonderful video, you’re a very brave man!! This country is obviously not safe for tourists and from what I’m reading it’s not safe for Egyptian’s either. India and Egypt are places I would never visit for anything or anybody.
RU-vidrs love to play stupid. Folks don't want to be filmed in public...in just about every country. You lied. There are not lots of people filming in the street.
Im from egypt and Im telling you not every egyptian know how to talk english so they was looking weird for you but if they know im telling you they are so kind and Friendly but they was Have like strange feel because they don't know how to talk to you , Even the guy was telling you "One Minute" he was trying to make you calm down not to scare you and need you to wait so they can talk to you.
