It appears as though his under coat is mostly removed. I got more undercoat in 1 stroke than she did with many strokes. If you go repeatedly over the same spot, you will "shred" your dog's beautiful coat, like I did. Use a light hand!

That red head collar thing looks so tight i dont think he has much choice but to be calm lol looks like he can’t even open his mouth to breathe. Makes me feel claustrophobic just looking at it! Poor dog lol I know what they are and I’ve seen them before but I didn’t know they were supposed to be so tight

A puppy will snatch the removed hair from the product as you are standing there, marveling at how well the device works! This happened to me with my German Shepherd puppy. Release the hair when the comb gets full, and keep the pup away from the previously-removed bunch of hair. A pup is more mischievous than an older dog.
@@gigglybeast I can tell that you're trying so hard to be difficult. In which case maybe you just shouldn't use a furminator if you've already succumbed to false information. All dogs coats are different. Some have a double coat some don't. The ones that have an undercoat and are in their shedding season; it does not "cut" hair that is deeply rooted. It simply lifts the dead stuff up and out. You can try to brush all you want for as long as you want on a double coat dog; but believe me, you WILL know when there is no more undercoat to come out haha. Furminator are more commonly used for double coated dogs. For dogs with only one coat, a slicker brush is best for them.
@@gigglybeast The way the furminator brush seems to work is that the tines separate the hair so the sharp edge can “catch” loose hairs and pull them out from under the topcoat. Hair will not be pulled out by the roots as long as you use the brush correctly and the furminator wouldn’t work as intended if it was sharp enough to actually cut hair.
Not "outdoors on a windy day" what the heck... How about being responsible for your pets hair just like you pick up their 💩. The amount of hair these brushes produce is incredible. Don't unleash that on your local park or neighbors, TRY to put it in a bag or a five gallon bucket. Be considerate please.

Sorry but that strip of gauze you used with the first collar turns into a STRING. I replaced it with a bandanna folded over to fit through the loops as my dog's collar was a touch too wide. It worked perfectly and was a lot more comfortable for him.
