Thank you for this video, you showing how the too big collar looked on the dog confirmed my feeling that the cone my vet gave me was WAY to big. And the ones I bought were the right size. 🥰
Sorry but that strip of gauze you used with the first collar turns into a STRING. I replaced it with a bandanna folded over to fit through the loops as my dog's collar was a touch too wide. It worked perfectly and was a lot more comfortable for him.
I found that too. My dog has had ear surgery and has to wear the collar for 3 weeks! We are one week in and he hates it obviously. I find it so stressful too as he can't get comfortable and cries at night. It's horrible. I am counting the days. The bandana works well with the collar and makes him just a little more comfortable.
Wow....angry people. I put a small cushion under my dog's head and that helped. I know you posted this a year ago but someone else might be interested.
@@KimikoAiri You're welcome. They really are horrible things but necessary. I tried a few for my dog (he got his off last week after almost 2 months) I found the dark coloured ones gave him tunnel vision so went back to the clear hard plastic. Your dog will find little ways to adjust it usually takes about 4 days. In the meantime just reassure him distract him with little walks if you can and he'll be fine. The main thing to know is thst it's for a limited time. Distressing for us to! Hang in there and look forward to his "getting it off day" then celebrate 🍾 🐕
