Richard, can you please tell me if the magazine will fit under the scope with medium height mounts or will i need tall ones. My rifle should be delivered end of theis week. Thanks in advance.
Hi Neil, Medium mounts should work fine, I only used the high ones as they were what I had to hand, don't forget they need to be picatinny mounts. If you take a look at my.other video of me shooting the Lyra you can see how much room there is between the magazine and scope. I hope you enjoy shooting your new rifle.
Any idea where to get the dimensions of the o-rings for those of use who can't/won't get the official kit from the manufacturer? I've tried filling out the contact form on their website but have not gotten a response in months.
the safety is a bit fiddly but does benefit from a little bit being filed off as depending how you adjust the trigger the safety can become easier or harder if not impossible to use
your best off buying the best connections fitting kit or screw your fill probe directly to the whip of your stirrup pump they have supplied, these kits seem to vary in contents as to what they have available at the time of shipping from distributor as mine came with an actual kral hand pump a plain unbranded moderator and a tan coloured bag but all in all a good kit for the money
Reximex have been out for a couple of years now and have had some decent reviews check out big dans airgun review he’s reviewed 3 or 4 of them and really rates them on a par with guns 3-4 times the price
Hi, My son and I have this shotgun (stoeger xm1) But you made me very curious about this Reximex Lyra I already know what to write in a letter to Santa Claus😂😂😂
😮 I love em....bit of an ugly duckling, just had a look on their website....gosh they aint cheap, and of course I liked the laminate/ceracoted limited editions but at 3k+ ill just have to ogle em on yt vids👍
It's on loan your hardly gonna slag it of and the Mtc are nothing special and fior 250/300 quid a second hand hw77k, hw97 tx200 I just think your a bad shot and can't shoot springers and rubbish shooters by pcps and shoot of a bag and think there good
Just to point out that even though it's on loan this is a no BS review! If I think it's not worth buying I will say its not worth buying as i have nothing to gain! As for my background......I've been shooting most of my life in one form or another, I've owned springers and gas ram rifles and now have a superb S410 as well as repairing rifles for over 28 years. My point is, regardless of what you might think, is that this rifle, whilst cheap, will out perform cheaper springers. Your talking about premium spring piston rifles but some people want a cheap PCP and this is one that I would recommend.
No, the cylinder is fixed, similar to the newer webley raiders. It's a 280cc tube filled to 200 bar, I've managed 6 full magazines (84 shots) so far but further testing is needed to determine the actual sweet spot.
Not in my and Air Arms opinion. The spring can be manipulated in order to ensure it contacts with the mag cassette at the correct angle. The advice I have given has worked on multiple occasions, if it continues to bend out of shape then it needs replacing.
As there is more volume to fill you may find that it takes a little longer to fill rifles/bottles. The new compressors take longer to fill as the temperature limit is set 65°, then cools to 60° before restarting, making the run intervals shorter.

No, 5.5 relates to the calibre of the pellet, .22 is 5.5mm, .177 is 4.5mm. Speed is recorded in Feet Per Second or FPS and should be arround 550 .22 or 770 .177 as a reference
That could be that the magazine retaining clip is nit holding the magazine in to the magazine well. The spring clip may need pushing down a little so that it grips the lug on the back ofvthe mag. If that doesn't remedy the problem I would purchase the newer indexing post and fit that.
@Air cooled the newer indexing post is a solid brass finger that's springbloaded rather than a thin piece of spring brass, most of the ones on sale now are the newer ones...a much better design
@Air cooled yes it's easy to replace, remove the 3 bolts in the indexing cam cover, lift out the cam, remove the original post, clean and lightly lubricate the cam plate, fit the new post into the cover, reseat the cam and screw it back on the the breech unit. Don't over tighten the 3 bolts, the breech is aluminium and the threads can be easily stripped. If you need further assistance email me at dvschesterfield@gmail.com
very nice video. i have a question: on the end of the hose itself where you would connect it to the airgun can you tell me what it looks like inside of the quick connect. mind has a little brass plug in the center of the female quick connect. does yours have the same thing. thanks
La compré cómo que eran lo mejor y con todo el separador de humedad el moho interno la dañó en menos de dos meses de uso , y eso que siempre le daba su mantenimiento de limpieza y colicona , en mi opinión son una basura
I have Hill pump but its give me too trouble, When i pull it for making stroke it doesn't come up words easy۔ for mentinance its mechanism too deficult and complicated۔
If you are dry firing your rifle you may get a little blowback from the breech seal into the mag well. The breech seal may need changing or the rifle servicing to make sure its all leak free. Drop me a message to dvschesterfield@gmail.com if you need it doing. Richard
@@richdvs chesterfield is a bit to far me to send for servicing but thank you for information rich ! I’ll try closer to home ( Sunderland) if I have any problem I’ll send it mate if that’s ok ?
My Hill mk4 is popping up on every stroke without building any pressure. Tried cleaning and replacing green o-ring but no success...help me out please.
SORT IT OUT HILLS!! (Not your fault richdvs - but please do change the title of your clip, it's annoyingly misleading.) Hills need to put up quick clip on this for everyone living in the 21st century. Especially as their service instructions are pretty cr4p!
Hey my friend. I have air leak in my air arms s510 at the air loading port. How to resolve this problem ? I want to show you on photo where exactly it is.
If its leaking from the filling adapter, make sure the rifle cylinder is totally empty, use an appropriate size spanner to remove the filling End(the silver T lock filling adapter). As you remove it make sure you dont loose the small spring from the none return valve. Remove the seal from none return valve and replace it. Its also advised that the seal between the filling adapter and the cylinder end cap is replaced.
Kral arms one pease alloy block.... thats the job less stripping less seals ...like the songs goes.... thats the way i like it 😁... helo from ireland...😉
Just serviced my pump after I wore it out 🤣 I do use it a hell of a lot tho and tbh I really should just get a compressor for the amount of air I use like 10 to ups from 100 bar a week or something stupid 😞 I can tho so it's not a bother. Anyways cheers for the rough idea on how it comes apart etc etc but honestly anyone who feels daunted etc, trust me it's as easy as a b c ! The kit comes with instructions and as long as you have two adjustable spanners and a angled pick your golden like 7 o rings ffs it's not rocket science. I'm happy to report my mk4 is up and running again 😊 so happy days Atb bud 👍👍 thanks again
Do you have a video of changing all the seals? Iv got an s410 carbine and it looses air about ten bar in a night it hadn't done afore so am think new seal kit and fit it myself is there owt I have to worry about? Ps I am mecanicly minded. Don't want to take to bits and realise wtf have I done? Any help would great 👍👍👍😜🏴🦄🎣😁🤞✌️
You will need the tool to remove the fill end cap and know how to get the anti tamper caps out. Once your through that the rest is pretty easy . I have refrained from putting up a full strip guide as i service and repair a wide variety of rifles, if I show how it's done no one will need me lol
@@richdvs totaly get you chears for the info iv already changed the filling bit to new one with new fill adaptor had the one in your video but new one now wasn't to hard where in UK are you 👍👍👍😜🏴🦄🎣😁🤞✌️ Ps thanks for your help 👍✌️
Thanks for the info, would u say if an air arms s400 has a leak, a replacement of all seals (standard with a full service I assume?) would generally resolve the issue? mine had loss pressure down to nothing whilst in storage, initially couldn't get it to fill, but I can if I blast the air in quickly. But it loses pressure overnight now. You referenced the fill valve so I presume that can be something not covered in a service?
Hi Mark, thank you for your comments. A full service includes the stripdown and replacing of all seals, cleaning and polishing if component parts. Should any other parts need changing that will added to the service charge. If you want further information please email me at dvschesterfield@gmail.com
I just got this pump, waiting for the dry pac and the qd. Great video, have experience tearing down Chinese pump. Matter of fact I need to do it again....
"As you can see". NO WE CAN'T might help if you had the part in front of the camera. As 456 123 said you have only done half a job. The pump is not supplied in kit form. Also it would help those who don't know how, if you showed how to remove the seals.(without damaging the parts.)
Thank you for your comments. I take on board what you have pointed out in your comment and this video was only done to show the seal locations. Getting the pump stripped it's the reverse of the build up, but if you need further help email me and I will go through it step by step
Hi rich my s410 carbine is leaking from the fill valve, i have stripped it down and the domed valve and spring look ok is there not a o ring inside there? should there be or is it the outer rubber seal that seals it please? i know there is two O rings on the outer shaft that the fill connector seals against.. just looks strange just the domed valve spring assisted seating up to the alloy concave bit on the valve housing thanks again Jim
Hi Jim. Yes there should be a small o ring on the top of the none return valve, without it the air will just leak out. It's a small o ring, can be bought from" BiggO" Sheffield individually or as part of a full seal kit.
@@dvschesterfield8615 thanks there is a domed rubber seal on it i can see now maybe its worn? also doe's the alloy pressure Gauge housing use a standard O rings x3 they look to have a flat rebate in them or is it they just mould to this shape when tightened up? thanks again Richard
Hi rich, can you help me please.. i was firing my s410 carbine and there was a rush of air from the rifle and obviously stopped firing, i tried to refill of my bottle and its just blowing air through barrel full pressure of the divers bottle going through the barrel, rifle worked fine before the Hiss of air escaping.. can you advise please what may be the problem many thanks jim
Hi Jim, thank you for your comment. Sounds like you ran the rifle below 60 bar as at this pressure the hammer will hold the firing valve open, causing the remaining air to dump. Refilling the rifle from empty: Cock the rifle ensuring the magazine is out and no pellet in in the breech. With the rifle cocked, start filling the rifle. You may find you need to give the rifle a blast of air to reseat the valve, then continue to fill slowly to 190 bar. Disconnect from the fill cylinder and discharge the rifle in a safe direction. Let me know how you get on. Richard.
Thanks Rich, Cant get it to work for me but at least i know Im not alone. This has been a problem for me out of the box. I thought I had spent too much on a gun, tuns out for once I'm right. I'll add Arms Galahad to the worlds list of over priced crap. Cheers.
Thank you for your comment George. I'm assuming you have the indexing post shown in my video. If you contact Air Arms with the serial number of your rifle in sure they will be able to assist you. The new design index post is much stronger and does not succumb to the same failure as the original.
Cheers Rich, I have the part ordered and should be in when i get home, my gripe is the fact that AA could'nt be bothered to design a proper reliable working part, lost faith in the gun and wondering what the next failure will be. Not working out of the box is just not on. Cheers
@@paddymularkey My Galahad developed the same problem as yours, more or less straight out of the box..Had it a week, shot around 50 pellets and it started to not index..Finally bought the new MK 2 post....SORTED...
