In my house in London, inside some sort of exit door thing, I think there were some Apollo Discovery smoke alarms but they didn’t have the strobes for the smoke alarm. I think. They were only set to the tone: “Evacuation Tone”, I think.
Nice video, 0:22 I'm guessing that I/O unit is connected to the Kentec's fire/fault relays + inputs and communicates to a Firecell hub on the Morley? only asking because I'm looking into doing something very similar with an Advanced and an Intruder alarm panel... (hope I haven't commented too much on this channel haha)
Nice video! 5:44 I assume that Sounder VID is Discovery and you have disabled the sounder part only? I thought only Morley and Advanced panels let you do that, does it come up twice as the same address but a sounder and beacon on the disablement menu in your Kentec like on my Advanced? I own a 1 loop Syncro but haven't tried Discovery on it yet so I'm curious.
Thanks! Yeah it’s discovery. I don’t actually think Morley panels let you do that as I’ve never been able to do it with my DXc2! With the kentec you can do it through the cause and effect, you just need to turn off def ring mode (I think it’s called) for all the sounders then, for example, make a cause and effect where IF device is activated in zone 12 or 13 then 12.1 is activated (but not 12 as you only want the beacon flashing, which is the sub address). And then if you want audible silence you just uncheck the “silenceable” attribute on the sub-address. Hope that helps :)
Ahh alright thanks! sadly my panel is too new for the Loop Explorer version I have access too so I'm limited on what I can do with it C&E wise (its why I upgraded to an Advanced MX4 haha) I assume XP95 doesn't let you do that right?@@roverfp
Great test! I di have a question tho, how do i wire my alarmsense detector so IT will trigger the stunder base. Its hard to work out as i dont use a panel and i cant connect both stunder and detector to same poser supply, so if anyone knows please tell me :)
That CO/heat detector is connected to the shed system which is separate and not linked to the house and garage systems. The shed system does have its own cause and effect which is somewhat shown in shed system test 1 :)
This is one of the most comprehensive home fire alarm systems I've ever seen, I have never seen a dialler setup before on a hobby system! (assuming this is a hobby system) making full use of that Morley which makes me feel guilty as I have done hardly anything to my Advanced MX4 apart from connect it to a loop😅
