FAMILY FRIENDLY CHANNEL! I love Finding America's lost treasures in the ground with my metal detector! I've been metal detecting the past 44 years, since the age of 11, and have hunted while living in Arizona, Germany, Ohio, Maryland, Florida and my present home of the last sixteen years in East Tennessee. No matter how long I have hunted, I always learn something new from others or each time I go out and often find something I have never found before. I love this country, it's history and researching the history of the items I find for the stories they have to tell. It is an absolutely amazing hobby and I hope to relay that with my channel and videos. I hope you enjoy my videos and if you do, please consider subscribing to Finding America.

Hi Billy, Here is what I've told people in the past about the M9. Hope it helps you. If you have the 5 1/2 X 8 M8 coil already, I don't think there would be enough advantage in performance alone to warrant spending the money for the M9. With that said, there are reasons why some people might want one over the other or why they might even want both. The M8 has excellent separation and very impressive depth. It's small elliptical shape is perfect for getting in between targets and for hunting in thick woods, rocks or tight spaces. The M8 will have the advantage in separation but I think it's a slight one as the M9 really separated well for me out there. The M9 is the perfect go-to coil for those wanting good ground coverage, excellent depth and excellent separation. It's perfect for those not wanting to swing the 11" around because of its weight or size but don't want to swing the M8 as they need something that covers more ground. I love how slim this new coil is as well. It will be an awesome coil to use in the water as it will have far less resistance while swinging it. The M9 is actually 1.2 ounces lighter than the M8 and the further set back mounting point offers excellent balance once it is mounted on the shaft. It was a joy to swing and this would be a great coil for older detectorists to just use as their one and only coil. It will tackle everything they will ever need it to and take it easy on their arms. I think the M9 coil would also be a superb coil to use on farm fields and pasture giving the user excellent target separation while still providing nice ground coverage and depth. It will also be a lot easier to work with in stubble and brush thanks to its more open frame design. With all that said, I have been using the M9 as my main coil and switching over to the M8 when I get into the really thick iron or trash. I always have my M11 and M15 for any deeper seeking needs when required. So is it worth spending the extra $272.00 for you? That's something only you can really answer but hopefully, my observations here might help you figure that out. Hope this has all made sense to you as I am just typing on the fly here as I am thinking about it and I hope it helps answer your question. ATB Greg
a button under a clothes line 🤔 .yes very odd indeed Greg..🤣✌🇨🇦..and a beautiful day in the neighborhood it is..😳..and I'm not ao sure that's for a cap gun sir..🤷
Several 200 year old buttons, WWI items and other goodies under a clothesline is not typical and a very good day. The cylinder is definitely for an old cap gun. Thanks for watching this one and all the best. Greg
Great job Greg! Do you think this was more than just the home of a military officer rather than some kind of military establishment? All the military relics seem unusual to me.
Greg you are setting a clothes line trend to find artifacts and relics. Wonderful, personal finds, great hunt and pictures to depict the time period.😀👍👏
