We recovered a rare little bucket lister, old coins, relics & jewelry! My new Manticore program and settings really paid off yet again for me and it was a great hunt from start to finish! I had another amazing time out Finding America while using my new Minelab Manticore and M9 coil as well as the Equinox 900 with the Coiltek 10X5 coil.

Greg two outstanding days of metal detecting. So nice to see Chris back with you. The 1910 V nickel was an awesome find for your grand father’s memory box. I have never saw a tear drop civil war bullet found before, congrats on that. Funny, we just found a valve stem on a new permission over the weekend similar to Chris’s. The tongs were cool. The mystery find I believe is a circuit breaker for lighting. Great photos. Keep on having fun👍👏👏😀🇺🇸

Thanks so much guys! It was fun having Chris back out there and those teardrops definitely do not come along very often and the Confederate made ones are even rarer! Great hunt -- always nice to see what kinds of history can be found underneath our feet, if someone is really looking. Don't have to find hammered or Roman gold to enjoy metal detecting. Best places, I gather, are where people are in a hurry and careless with their pocket contents, like a fairground or playground. Keep it up. Still hoping you'll find a 1943 galvanized penny (my birth year -- yep, I'm old.

I have found a couple of them in the past and they were just solid rust. I only knew they were steel pennies because they were in a coin spill with other wheaties. Unfortunately, they don't handle being buried very well. :) ATB Greg

Nice finds Greg, and Chris. I have a little info that may be useful in the future. I dug a little cross several years ago at our park, and it appeared to be gold plated and the plating was peeling off. When I got home I cleaned it up more and the plating kept coming off, but underneath was a beautiful silver color. What I think that was is a clear finish they put on the cross to keep it from tarnishing, such as a varnish which yellows. When it was all said and done there was Thailand, and .935 stamped in it. 935 is known as Argentium silver. The blue stone that was in the cross was a beautiful blue sapphire. :)
