I love transformers that transform with spring loaded gimmicks like transformers animated. Wished they were more articulated like the animated figures.
@@Solar_eclipse05 We’ve all been there. Thankfully, Jakks rereleases all the figures decently often, I’m sure you’ll be able to catch up on any figures you’d want to when you have some disposable income again!
Do you have any characters you really like so far? Or do you have a preference for alternate modes like jets, tanks, boats, or cars? Figuring characters of alts you like can be a good place to start!
well, if you're a fan of g1 I would recommend perhaps some Netflix figures or the studio series 80, s movie figures I would start with my favorite characters then move to others also most of these can be found on either Hasbro pulse the bigbadtoystore or Irl
@@ronbondujon9690 same here dude. The thing that keeps me in is the prices I experience when back collecting. I just think oh god I don’t wanna deal with that if I take a break 😂
@@harrisonwhaley7872 I’ll never stop kicking myself for missing out on Titans Return Misfire and Legacy Beachcomber when I was taking breaks from collecting.
I really wanted that arm cannon/main cannon to be chunkier. It needed that bit more presence to stand out from their Tarn-alike and Armada-alike. I love the stride MMC hit with Eris, their All-Built-In figs, and their Optus Pexus... highly posable, transformable, and premium-feeling.
They’ve really hit an amazing new era lately. I can’t wait to see how their Devastator turns out, and I absolutely need to see their Stormbringer Megatron.
airachnids alt mode is so interesting but I like it better than just an earth spider it's so cool and weirdly fits her prime character hopefully in the movie there similar wheeljacks alt mode is also cool I hope he plays somewhat of a role in the movie also love the gimmick it makes sense and its fairly good looking
It doesn’t really click with me. I know a lot of people love that figure, it’s just not my cup of tea. I think it’s the proportions, I don’t like how square his torso is and his legs look weedy to me.
@@Dr.JtheKoopa There’s a lot to like about him! I have my nitpicks, but I do see how he is a good figure. The way I see it, if you give me the world’s best chocolate ice cream, but I’m more of a strawberry kind of person, then I probably won’t appreciate the chocolate for what it is, you know?
@@ronbondujon9690 Thanks! Not sure if mine will be as in depth as yours, mainly touching up some bots and adding certain details, but I would like to get more into full blown customizing, just need spare figs for it lol
@@ronbondujon9690 recently I tried making a few adjustments to my siege Soundwave and the ROTB mainline Optimus, made Soundwave a bit closer to the MP version and tried to make prime more film accurate
looks sick I believe the giganotosaurus mode is based on the Schleich giganotosaurus i always thought that (barneytron supremacy) also all the species are (seatron) plesiosaurus (landtron) giganotosaurus (air/skytron) quetzalcoatlus
Tell me about it! Thankfully, Transformers is really the only kind of expensive thing I collect. My other main things I collect all go for pretty cheap and don’t release more than a few waves a year.
I love that you can change the face to give her different faces I wish they did that for her when she was in tarns body like one being battle damage and the other one with no damage
my personal TOP10 (in my collection), primal/lio/big convoy was not included 1 SS86 2 VNR 3 legacy armada 4 earthrise 5 missing link 6 lunar cruiser 7 siege 8 legacy IDW security guard 9 classics 1.0 10 SS-05 i dont own a SS-38, i think it might take a place in my list if i own it.
There is a certain direction of the Gundam marker tip where the paint flows more so you can cover an area, and flows less for sharper detail depending on how you spin the pen. If you notice the flat on the tip, that flows more for better coverage... Looks like you have the Metallic's set, so All except the panel line pen should be metallic. and the panel line pen probably has 2 tips a broad and fine point.
One thing that pisses me off is that it costs more than the Optus series but it doesn't come with any accessories for that price. Fucking greedy moment. And her gap from back is ugly, they could do some partsforming for cover this.
I agree that it has less going for it that a lot of the Optus series stuff, but I also look at the third party scene as a whole and still would say $120 isn’t bad. At the same time, it would have been nice to maybe get a matrix or a battle damaged helmet or something. The back is a bit rough, too. It doesn’t bother me too much, but I know a lot of toy photographers and collectors like a figure to be solid from all angles.
Seeing this vid tells me i should buy myself another seige starscream to make another custom of skywarp and to tell myself not to use black sharpie markers with krylon top coat sealer as that became hella sticky afterwards also to remember to use masking tape lol
I was going to use paint of this Thundercracker until I literally stumbled on these markers in a store. Thankfully, it’s still holding up. I’m sorry to hear your Skywarp became a bit sticky.
I wish I was on the other side of the country right now😂. Burbank is a bit far from my neck of the woods, but maybe I’ll come across that Lockdown eventually!
The lore given is alluding to the IDW version of Arcee who was Galvatron's sibling and who could duplicate fighting styles. I think the idea being what if Arcee had become Galvatron instead. An interesting amalgamation of lore.
Barricade’s been getting a lot of love lately in the comments! He’s already on my suggestion list, but I think he’s moving up that list quick! He’ll have a video before too much longer.
Bumblebee would be an awesome video! A massive one, but an awesome one. I will absolutely do him, but I’m saving it for a milestone video, you know? That said, it will be out in due time!
@@OverlordOfTheRubberDuckies Him and the rest of the big four will get videos eventually! I just know what my limits are right now, and even doing characters like Jazz and Thundercracker were really cutting into my time for school and work, you know? I honestly need a lot of time just to do my proper research for them.
I agree, it would be nice to have better foot articulation. At the same time, this design team is given a far smaller budget then what you’d find in Studio Series or Generations, so I under set and why they would need to cut stuff like that.
Lockdown kinda reminds me of Drift in a sense. - new, immediately popular characters - had a big push from Hasbro, that tried to make them a thing - both had big roles in movies - being oversaturated in media and toys - kinda overstated their welcome - forgotten for a long time Although Lockdown has more striking design than Drift, that for sure
That would be interesting. I already planned to keep Scourge and Nemesis separate, but you have a point about Black Optimus being his own entity as well. Nemesis is absolutely going onto the suggestion list!
He actually does have a way to hold the matrix, but from what I was able to accomplish, he can only hold it in one hand at a time and not both. There are grooves in the hands where it slots into
I’d love to hit up my second favorite seeker! We have a lot of characters to work through on my suggestion list, but we’ll get to Skywarp before too long!
These look okay. I don’t get why poor Elita-1 has a robot battler before any of the superior figures of her even released! Scarlett Johansson disapproves!
Yeah, but at least we know now that Elita will get two separate Yolopark Figures and two Threezero figures! They look awesome, and I’m sure we’ll get a proper Hasbro figure before too long!
