That has got to be the strongest, heaviest and most adjustable 2x72 belt grinder I've ever seen. Props to you my friend on the ingenious way you made all those machine parts work together.
I have one but am wondering if it can be used indoors...mine just wiggedout. It wasnt lighting ,like as if it was full of water. Then I dumped it out replaced fuel and finally started but went up big-time...was pouring fuel all over and totally covered in flames. Dumped water on bottom part.slowed it down but it's top part been burning in flames for 10 mins ..wth
I wonder if I could pick your brain a little? I've seen some Asians set these up differently and I can see how maybe that would be better. Basically, they stake the corners, raise the tent, and then put on the stakes in between the corners. That way they can maximize then tension in the fabric of the tent without having to pull on it excessively. I bought mine over the winter and haven't gotten to pitch it yet but I was wondering if you'd we've seen that done and either way, what you might think of it. I wouldn't hold you to it either way. It just seems like you've put up enough tents to have some insight that I'd very much appreciate. Please and thank you 😁
I’ve never seen it done that way, I’m not sure how it would work. I’ll have to look into it. Ya may want to join the Facebook group called Springbar Tent Owners and ask there. We have people from all over the world there that may help.
hi friend. I watched his construction of the 25 ton hydraulic press with a 3 hp engine. Could you tell me what the flow volume of the oil pump is? Thank you and congratulations for the tips.
Good series, thanks for making them, I have 2, been sitting since i got them a couple years ago, finally got to the front burner and your videos helped get me up to speed. Looking forward to getting mine up and running
Great video thank you . Opened my old one ( 510 from the 60's ) and it is all new and clean inside the wick is brand new but the outside is pretty shabby ha ha. I had a hard time putting it back together and thread it like you did. Glad to watch you closely on it I have to give alot more turns and tighten it up more. Thanks again BTW watch you over a year ago and finally went out to the barn and brought it in and was going to fire it up and thought Oh oh better find out more and here you were again Subbed and hit the alarm
So tell me.I've go an old 2 burner. Bought it new in late 60s think it might be a 425 not sure. It stated leaking raw fuel out in the bottom of the stove caught on fire. Thankfully it did not burn any thing down. So I run onto a 3 burner Colman at a flea market and I bought it for 35$.it did the Sam thing fuel run out into bottom of the 3 burner caught on fire. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with these Colman stoves.
Great video! I love your let's see what happens approach, while being knowledgeable😎, but not Mr. Know it all. I have a 1972 3500 with the same symptoms. I picked it up in the summer and put it in the winter project pile. Thanks for the tips and motivation. You have made it to my very short list of subscriptions. Again, Great Job!
Great Videos! I am about to tackle my own RACINE hacksaw. I am wondering, where did you find the drawings, and would you mind forwarding a link if possible?
Parts are hard to find for these and don't use clean the wick with a wire brush. Ruin the wick. If wick is stiff soak it in white gas camp fuel. Burn the carbon off.
Great video, and just what i needed. Had mine for a long time and never really worked. Other tip is the head gets 'gummed' up with soot from the regular gasoline, and some methyl hydrate or denatured alcohol burns off the impurities and makes them function once the wick is working again. Mine is also a 1966 model and seems to be fully functional again!
Just found a coleman 640 table and chairs in the box today. I have a bunch of coleman lanterns and stoves too. Thank you for sharing. I would love to see more about the covers for the tables .
I haven't tent camped in years, we used to as kids growing up, we vacationed in a canvas tent from Sears. About ten years ago I went tent camping down in Disney with an instant tent. It sounds easy but the only thing easy was setting up and breaking it down was a mess, plus it got flooded during a rainstorm. It turned me off tents and then I decided maybe I should do this RV search and see if there is one that is the right price and size and weight, only to find out I would likely have to take a bank loan out. Add to that, the interest rates, the wear and tear on the car, the insurance and the worst part, how much am I really going to get out and use it? Adding it all up, I would be spending thousands and thousands of dollars on something I would likely only use two weeks a year at best. So, I found videos on tents that are of high quality, not like the insta-tent I used ten years ago. So, it's interesting to watch and I may go this route once again.
Did you get a spider lovejoy? I'm building the same press as we speak. Spider lovejoy coupling will be here tomorrow. Wondering how much quieter it will be. If not any I'm going to investigate a sound enclosure for the pump.
THANK YOU!!! I purchased a Springbar Compact Tent and took it out on my first camping trip this past week. Setting it up went smoothly, and taking it down went well, however, I really didn't know how to fold it to get it to fit back into the tent bag. I rolled it to the proper diameter, but it was sticking out about 7" beyond the opening of the sack! I also had trouble getting all the sides neatly tucked before I rolled it back up, so it was sloppy. I was getting physically tired so I decided I'll re-do it when I get back home. Your technique on how to tuck the sides under the roof with the stick is a great idea, thanks so much!
Thanks for making this, Shane. Interesting concept. Would the smaller springbar tents fit under it, for extra protection in winter? Is that one use for this canopy?
