I'll have to do this for example The Godfather Book i forget what pages my favourite quotes are in next time i read it I'll do this or use sticky notes
Tried it before, first half of the book got filled with too much highlighters after chapter 4 I forgot what I was doing and got too interested in the topic and lost the highlighter in the progress 10/10.
"The Dao de Qing" is another short book that I recommend reading for only a page or two a day. Every page is very deep and requires a lot of reflection.
I've been doing this with my copy of Jeff Vandermeer's X trilogy - but I've been using page flags and sticky notes to help annotate (though I'm also considering annotating directly in some books that I own to kinda leave some notes behind for people to see someday). I definitely recommend for anyone that wants to take notes from a library book or feels precious with some of their books to use page flags and sticky notes to help annotate! There's even a lot of cheap, clear see-thru sticky notes that are sold online stationary stores, like JetPens (and I think they also may have erasable highlighters and repositionable highlighter strips too).
I use a kind of different approach i normally read few pages for 25 minutes and then for the next 5 minutes i describe the most important content to myself its generally not about how many pages you read or to complete an entire book in a week but how you better understand a concept in the book that will be useful to you personally and professionally. Quantity always wins over quantity.👍
@alexandbooks to consolidate all my key points and action steps like you showed at the end of the video, do you use a digital notebook to organize your thoughts across multiple books…like a second brain?
I let my friend borrow my fav book of all time if she could give it back within a month, ITS BEEN 6 FLIPPEN MONTHS, PRAY FOR ME THAT I GET MY BOOK BACK, she isnt responding to my texts and has lost the privilege of being my friend

Some "champagne hypocrites" you should all avoid ever taking financial information from are: Dave Ramsey, David Bach, Tony Robbins, Suze Orman, JL Collins, Ramit Sethi, Ray Dalio and David Swensen.
you forgot the religious books _ because in facts , philosophy had its success because religion was decreasing , and philosophy just reactualised the concept of fatality from the religions .
