People love to say Jimi is a better player!!! Okay I don’t think you’re wrong per say but let’s be honest Stevie was the complete package, his voice was honestly light years better than Hendrix and his playing was always full of intention and never lost. Hendrix at times you could tell was uninspired or clearly not pushing himself at times and his voice just kind of was alright. Love them both but SRV was just all around better. I think Jimi was a better songwriter though that is a damn fact.
He knew his stuff. He was very aware of Guitar Slim, Elmore James, and of course Albert King, Muddy, the mighty Wolf, John Lee Hooker, BB, Freddie, and so many more.
