A never before done project to release Keiko, the star of Free Willy and the most famous whale in the world, back into the wild. We'll go on a journey with his trainers, scientists and marine operations team who were there from the very beginning of the release project. This intriguing tale uncovers their struggle in the ensuing confrontation with the captive marine mammal industry, its experts, the logistics, and the media.
Hey, I'm wanting to write to SeaWorld's Chairman about retiring Corky to her home waters, but I'm not sure what to say to him. Should I mention how freeing her would make him a national hero, her brother Fife and sister Ripple, how she still speaks the dialect of her family, or how he could be saving her life by moving her out of that concrete tank?
@@thekeikoprojectdocumentary Great, but should I also write to Double Bay Sanctuary about talking to SeaWorld again? SeaWorld has sent tickets in the mail for writers before right? To try to manipulate them into thinking they're not abusive to orcas. What if they try that on me when I send my letter?
@@thekeikoprojectdocumentary Would mentioning what happened with Tilikum and Dawn Brancheau be going too far? Or would it be a great reminder of why keeping orcas captive brings risk?
Sorry To Say It. But If You Release A Second Trailer You Should Have A Release Date. This Trailer Looks Fake Because You Do Not Have Enough Footage To Make A Real Good Film. It is not only a fan made movie but a disgrace to the legacy of Keiko. I expected a lot from this movie but seeing this trailer there is only one movie about Keiko that really matters and represents his beauty and legacy. That is Keiko The Untold Story. Really disappointed in this trailer 😢
We do have lots of real Keiko footage that has never been seen before and you can see them in our other clips in our channel. We also used visual effects to compliment the real footage.
The Imaginary Of The 3d footage has took me off guard so badly. I really expected no 3d footage. My expectations for the film are much lower. It can take another year or two before it is even released. I have been waiting so long for this one which makes my disappointement in this trailer really bad.
And it turned out fantastic!!! I always love these footages of Keiko who, with help of amongst other wonderful Jeff Foster, found back his soul and got to live wild and free as they all should be! At one point Keiko left the guiding boat and wondered off. Roaming the wild sea, meeting wild orca, catching his own fish and even gained weight when he came back almost 2 months later to the seapen! He travelled over 800 miles on his own! Unfortunately they never found his family because they didn't want the help from the late Ken Balcomb, who offered his help to find them. Keiko lived five years in his native waters as opposed to staying in a tiny tank in Mexico, performing as a circus clown, where he was visibly dying. Although he didn’t reintegrate with other orcas, he had freedom and had his basic survival needs met. ❤Forever Keiko❤
@@thekeikoprojectdocumentaryI ALSO BELIEVE THAT ALL THE LESSONS KEIKO SHOWED YOU And YOUR TEAM WILL BE SO GREAT AS YOU WORK WITH OTHERS LIKE KEIKO...I THINK REALLY STRONG THAT HE SAW YOU AS HIS HERO......AND TO MANY OF US ALSO THANK YOU ❤
@@bevsumner4628 Thank you, certainly lots of good things came out of the project and Keiko enjoyed being back home. All credit goes to the Free Willy Keiko Foundation and Keiko's trainers for rescuing and returning him home, I am just making the film on his life.
Can’t wait for this!! I remember as a kid I had Free Willy on VHS and I wanted to donate so badly, I was devastated when my granny told me that Keiko was already passed and it was too late to send my donation! Keep in mind this was 2008!
It didn't bother him, this was his natural environment and he liked getting hit in the chest by the wind and water as well as it hitting his pectoral fins. It was a lot of work and getting use to for the trainers.
