Great news with the 50+. It would be interesting to see a episode with Killian Jornet, and what kind of mountain you would take him to. Thank you for a masterpiece of a ski documentary. Wish you all a great and safe season
This was an incredible adventure. Kudos to Cody, Vivian, Bjarne, and all the team. Amazing production, and Cody... not only you're a very good skier, but also a first rate class act. As for Vivi.. you're a true master of the mountain and, like Cody, a good example to follow.
@@CodyTownsend I'm currently watching all of your other videos and this makes me realize that I'm a ......much better skier than you. This, however until I wake up in the morning 😁 I wish you were making more movies because what you do is amazing and the editing is awesome! Cody #1. Miller #2
Cody I do really appreciate that you take the risks seriously in these lines and are totally willing to turn around and wait for another day. No other way to show what's possible with patience and level headed decision making.
I'm not a regular watcher of this kind of content but even as a complete beginner I can see that there are some great group dynamics here. You communicate so well and understand each other. You also look like a lot of fun to be around.
Hey Cody, big fan and love the film, question as a fellow climber and skier, was that a rad line hyper static 6mm that Vivian was leading the technical pitch on? If so, I would assume he was well aware of the risks of a dynamic fall and was really soloing that section to set up a belay?
Hey Max, yeah, he was essentially solo-ing with complete and total knowledge that a hyper-static Rad line is never meant to be lead on and a fall could be incredibly consequential.. But Viv is such a strong climber, was more doing it to set up a belay.
My partner and I tried to climb the NE Ridge on Jan 1st, 1990 or so after what had been a dry winter until then. At about 12,500' overnight we got an un-forecast foot of powder over the previously dry rocks and an instant epic ensued. Saw a Bighorn ram at 11,500' looking perfectly comfy. On the descent we ended up in a canyon that narrowed so much we had to wade the stream etc in the dark with sticker bushes etc that only people that have done it on the Eastside can appreciate. Needless to say the beating you guys took at the end and the death march to the car in the dark brought back the "fondest memories" of our hubris. Stay live.
Hello everyone Thank you for the impressive film. Congratulations! This is a magnificent high mountain world. I wish you good mountain and ski tours. With alpine greetings Raphael Wellig
Excellent movie. Here you have a very good example of remarkable decision making based on terrain/weather/exposure. You and your team did a hell of a good job
