You can put the buttercream back in the fridge for 30 minutes and then re-whip it.

What is the purpose of sour cream? Can it be omitted?

If you don’t like sour cream you can omit it. Sour cream will add a little bit of sourness to the cheesecake.

Yes, you can. You can use the same temperatures but please keep an eye as every oven is different and since I do not know exactly what type of oven you are using, I wouldn’t be able to tell.

You can add feuilletine flakes to a buttercream base filling to keep the crunchiness. The flakes will not get soggy.

This is not Swiss meringue buttercream. Please watch both videos and you will see the difference in the process.

Anyone who tried this, how is the aftertaste? Condensed milk has that metallic aftertaste to me and I don’t usually like to use it in recipes, this however looks delicious and I would like to try it but am afraid to do so.

First time attempt on Swiss meringue - came out 100% and absolutely delicious. Reminds me of Ermine frosting but much quicker & easier
