Good video, trying to learn some winter crappie fishing myself this year. What region of the country do you fish in, doesn't look too cold for January!
I have wounded why you haven’t posted anything. I really do hate you are having boat problems. Both hub bearings went out on my boat trailer. I Usually fish a little shallower than 15 ft this time of year. I hope things work out for you some my friend .
@@jeffmccurry5678 Motor stalls momentarily then instantly goes then instantly stalls and instantly goes. It usually ends up shutting off. I start it back and sometimes it's fine and other times it happens again. Mostly happens at full throttle or near full throttle. Suzuki 115 4 stroke. I'm not a mechanic. Lol. Thanks so much!
Make sure nothing is collapsing your fuel hose. My Ranger fuel tank was loose and the fuel was making it shift enough to collapse my fuel hose. Ranger couldn’t fix it. My shady tree mechanic found the problem. Good luck.
@@crappiemoment yup, replace the fuel pump, the bulb, check the fuel lines for air leaks, clean out the lines and tank. one more thing, the fuel connection at the engine is a problem point and air could enter there. After checking all that then use a electrical meter and read the power packs, the stator, and the coils. After all that and finding nothing the carbs are next. I run a 1986 115 mercury inline 6 mariner tower of power. Bought it after it sat in garage for years. Went thru all i mentioned to you and it does great and very dependable now. If i lived close to ya id come check it out for ya.
Sry ur having the 1k problems keep pushing forward buddy. Only boat owners know wat the 1k issues means 🤣 (B)ust (O)ut (A)nother (T)housand 🤣 🤣 love ya buddy be safe hope it all works out
@crappiemoment i have had o 1 heck of a time getting on fish here lately. Hit and miss. Its crazy. All my brush piles are slow and even at the docks last year i was tearing em up all year. This year even the gillies been tough 🤣
Good morning ! What the name and size of that spinning reel that you have on your spinning rod in this video please and who sells them spinning reels please 🙏 It would help me so much if you answer my question because I want to buy that spinning reel that you’re using in this video please 👍🙏
I do but I don't remember which video. I constantly play with my settings.. depending on the water I'm fishing. These might not work for your body of water. LVS34 Gain 65 Color Gain 80 Color Limit 40 Noise reject low Ghost reject off TVG low or off Focus 80 Thanks for watching!
Another great video! I really like how informative your videos are. I would like to see more of the navionics structure on where to start looking for crappie on a new lake
I fish brush piles in 25 to 45 fow on one lake near me however I don't fish anything over 27ish unless I'm keeping them for dinner, I have absolutely had the fish caught deeper that 30 fow come back up unfortunately
Really depends on personal preference. If I'm targeting fish in less than 8 fow I'm using 1/16 ounce jig and no split shot. 10-15 fow I'm using 1/16 ounce with a 3/0 split shot. 20+ fow I'm often using 1/8 with split shot. Some people like the bait to fall slower and use lighter jigs. That keeps the jig in the strike zone longer. Usually the deeper the water the heavier the jig. 🎣
Sometimes some fish just won't bite no matter what you do. When fish are more finicky, I'll downsize to a Charlie Brewer slider or a small curly tail grub. Adding scent or nibbles can help. Sometimes you can cut the tip off larger baits and make them smaller. Try changing what you use. Use a under spin or curly tail and that will offer something with a little more action that may be harder to resist. Hope this helps.
