Really enjoy your channel a lot a great tip. Fishing out of Va. and here we had ice on the water. We headed down to Sharon Harris Lake last Wednesday and Thursday and got our butts whipped. We were hoping to find the same results as you did but all the shad were in the main lake on the bottom of the river channels. Tried the feeder creeks but all the shad we on the bottom as well. Any suggestion still new to crappie fishing. Do you have your livescope powered directly to its own battery? Your screen is so clear. Thanks
Welcome from Virginia. These fish are such a challenge and can move on a dime... But so much fun! Time of day can play a factor. Start early. Change baits if what you're using doesn't seem to be working. Move, move, move. Keep moving till you find them and don't give up. Yes connected to it's on dedicated battery. Thanks so much for watching!
I am from south central Kentucky and I have just recently started watching your videos. I have been fishing my entire live but I am really just learning to be a crappie fisherman. I appreciate your approach and tips. I especially like you reviewing the different baits. I am going to Grizzly Jig show this week and you gave a good range of different bait profiles I would like to try. It sounds like they have about every bait made at Grizzly Jig. I would suggest a video of scanning to find the right areas before putting the live scope down. That is one of my struggles right now and I could really use some on the water footage to see what I am missing. I think I would be much more efficient if I could get that piece figured out. Great job and keep the videos coming!
Welcome from Kentucky. Appreciate the support! So many different baits to choose from with great results. Getting a scanning video hopefully soon. Thanks so much for watching!
You definitely have a nice, pristine lake to fish at with some quality slabs and largemouth in it. Quick question about your FFS. Are you leaving it on auto depth setting? It seems that you could have gotten a much better picture by setting your depth to 10 feet since you're fishing in like 7-9 feet of water. I'm not trying to be critical, I fish a lake that averages about the same depth you're fishing and I keep my depth at 10 feet (unless I get in a deeper spot), which utilizes the full screen. You've got a great setup with your screen being elevated and at a perfect angle for viewing while fishing. Keep up the big catches. Kudos!
I usually set it on about twice the depth. Just feel the returns are cleaner and better separation. Appreciate the feedback. Thank you so much for the support and tuning in!
Enjoy all of your videos! I am local and I was on that lake yesterday afternoon. I found fish in 10ft and less as well even with the water at 50-51F degrees.
