Great tour - I am looking to do the same in reverse next year through Europe. It would be really nice to see a video on how the Tricity performed throughout your trip and any advice/tips etc that I could take onboard for my trip! Thanks again for great videos and promoting the country that we are lucky to have. Safe riding in the future.
I am working on a video with a summary of my trip (which is quite a job!), in which I will include some advice that I should think about on my next tour, because I am also still discovering what is best. After all, I don't have that much experience yet. Do you have any specific questions?

Het was een hele mooie ervaring en het voltooien van de reis geeft ook veel voldoening. Ik ben veel verschuldigd aan mijn navigatie app, die ervoor zorgt dat je van de gebaande paden afwijkt door je alternatieve wegen/weggetjes/paden voor te schotelen, die ik zonder die app niet gevonden zou hebben, maar die het avontuur aanzienlijk vergroten. Bedankt voor het kijken en de leuke en aardige reacties; die zijn mij tot steun geweest!
Het storten van afval komt voornamelijk door gemeentes die afvalverwerking als bizarre kostenpost voor inwoners voorschoteld. Jammer dat de trip nagenoeg voorbij is. 👍🍀
De kosten voor afvalverwerking in omliggende gemeentes van mijn woonplaats zorgen er al jarenlang voor dat er in de wijk waar ik woon een vorm van "afvaltoerisme" is, oftewel mensen komen (soms met busladingen) hun afval in de ondergrondse containers dumpen. Dat zijn dan nog de "goede" mensen, want er wordt ook veel onderweg aan de kant gegooid. Ik zie echter ook mensen hun afval op straat gooien terwijl een paar meter verder een vuilnisbak of container staat en dat snap ik echt niet. Of het onverschilligheid, moedeloosheid of gemakzucht is, weet ik niet.
Ik vind deze episode zelf ook heel geslaagd. Inspirerende onderwerpen en objecten zijn ook makkelijk(er) om fraaie beelden van te maken. Het is voor mij elke keer weer verbazingwekkend wat voor kwaliteit aan opnames je met zo'n kleine action camera kunt maken.

I have seen a lot, but also a lot I haven't seen. In a country with so much nature and culture, that is impossible in the limited time I have been in the UK. I really enjoyed it and had a great time. Thank you for watching and the nice and kind comments on the videos.
Wat leuk palmbomen aan de Noordzee. Zo te zien is in Noord Europa iedere badplaats verziekt door monstreuze bouwwerken pal achter een karakteristieke gevel.... zo is Scheveningen z'm grandeur voorgoed verloren; na zonsondergang een no-go area.
Zeker de kuststrook van Zuid-Engeland aan Het Kanaal heeft een aangenaam warm(er) zonnig klimaat. Vaak hingen er wolken boven de heuvels vlak achter de kustlijn, maar scheen op het strand de zon en dat maakt de groei van palmbomen mogelijk. Persoonlijk vind ik Brighton niet te vergelijken met Scheveningen als je kijkt naar de ontwikkeling van de stad. Het Scheveningen van nu heeft vrijwel niets meer van het Scheveningen van vroeger. De boulevard en het centrum van Brighton zijn nauwelijks veranderd ten opzichte van mijn bezoeken van 45 jaar geleden.
You've been lucky with the weather overall, here in the UK! I'll have to go back and watch your videos from your arrival in the UK some long winter evening.
I have a rule for myself that if I have been riding all day in the rain and I also have to pitch my tent in the rain, I will take a hotel or B&B. That has not been necessary once, so in that respect the weather has been good. However, if I look at the temperature, which on many days was not above 10 degrees Celsius and was sometimes close to freezing at night, and the often (very) strong wind, then it could have been better. There have not been many days when I have been able to sit in front of my tent in the evening with pleasant weather.
I started my RU-vid channel to make videos with my moped. The Dutch word for moped is “brommer”. The PO(S)T part in the name is a combination of “post”-ing my videos and an exhaust pot. So you could say that "Brompot" is the exhaust of a moped, but it is also the Dutch word for "grumpy”. One of the translations for "Grumpy" is "Brommerig", which in this case has to do with the word "brommen", which in English is "hum". That is why I use Brompot as a nickname. Is this explanation a bit clear?
For me, one of the most important things that plays a role in comfort is the wind noise in your ears. So it makes a big difference whether your helmet is quiet and whether you wear earplugs. With regard to wind noise, your height and the windshield play a role in the turbulence that arises around your helmet. If you look purely at the speed, I think 110km is the cruising speed that still feels comfortable to me. However, I try to avoid the highways as much as possible and drive on secondary roads where the speed limit in the Netherlands is 80 km.
As a "casual passer-by" I cannot judge that. What I have seen is that a lot has been done and is being done to make the beach between Brighton Marina and the pier more attractive. I don't know whether this will be done by the municipality or by private initiative. None the less, it is a great pity that the Madeira Terrace is in such a deplorable state.

Prachtige tuinen en begraafplaats. De veldbloemen maken een kleurrijk geheel met eigen sfeer. Het stadje waar u door kwam, daar lijkt de tijd te hebben stil gestaan.: schitterend. De strenge bouwregels werpen hier hun vruchten af. Erosie v.d. kliffen.... het zou mooi zijn om dit een halt toe te roepen. Neerlands know how met opblaasbare golfbrekers of zoiets. . With regard to building regulations, it's often the other way round, with local residents protecting villages from the local authority wishing to construct a monstrosity.

De erosie wordt eerder veroorzaakt door regenval. Er zitten een soort kleilagen in de kliffen die als een soort cementvoegen werken, maar die bij (grote) vochtopname hun 'lijmende' kracht verliezen, waardoor de kliffen instorten. Ook de wind speelt een belangrijke rol in het proces.
The colours in the walled garden were beautiful! If only I could make my garden so! At the end of your UK tour it would be good if you could do a summary of your route, daily mileage, campsites and costs. Your videos certainly demonstrate that it would be better touring on a motorbike or narrowwidth trike rather than a car, on the UK' s narrow roads.

De Portland Marine wordt nog steeds door de marine gebruikt als oefenterrein. Helaas leven we in een wereld waarin een defensieapparaat noodzakelijk is. Ik koester de vrijheid waarin ik mag leven en ben dankbaar aan diegenen die dit mogelijk gemaakt hebben en maken.
Because I'm not familiar with The Fens, I looked up what it is and where it is located. Based on the information, I think it will certainly look familiar to me, but I will not see the area, as I want to return to the Netherlands via Harwich.
I have been to the UK before and the weather was considerably better than this year. If the weather were always like this, I would feel sorry for the residents...
London is a nice city to visit, but I agree with you that the UK has so much more to offer. I am glad I have the opportunity to see different parts of the country.
Bristol channel of niet - een schitterende ocean view. U heeft gelijk: tal van parken-wouden etc... met het predicaat ANOB. Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ook nu weer geluk met het weer en mooi licht; enjoy 👍🍀
In de video is het moeilijk te zien, maar Wales was goed zichtbaar op de locatie bij het Bristol Channel waar ik de opname gemaakt heb. En het was zeker fijn dat de zon weer even zichtbaar was :)
A lovely video to eat my breakfast to. Occasionally I get a glimpse of your speedometer. One of yesterday's videos had the speedometer at 76. Was that kmh or mph? I thought the maximum speed for the tricity is about 70mph but I suppose if you have the wind behind you you might even hit the 80's. Even at slow speeds the video makes the speed faster than it probably is. Loved those wild horses!
My speedometer shows mph. The maximum speed of a Tricity is about 85 mph, but it depends on several factors, like weight of the rider and the wind. But a Tricity is very well capable of maintaining highway speed.
I never book a campsite in advance, because I don't know where I will end up one day. Sometimes I come across things along the way that I want to see that require so much time that I would not achieve my goal. There are also days when my head is not ready to ride and then I stay at a campsite for an extra day. Also, the weather can be so bad, like today, that I don't feel like going for a ride (and then I can use the time to edit videos). The fact that there is sometimes no room at a campsite is a risk that I take for granted.

Zowel voor de Schotten als de Welshman geldt, dat als ze onderling praten, ik er nauwelijks iets van kan verstaan. Als ze Engels (proberen te?) praten, dan lukt me dat beter, maar ook dan moet ik toch regelmatig vragen of ze het gezegde kunnen herhalen. Mijn buurman die afkomstig is uit Engeland had me er al voor gewaarschuwd, dat het aantal mensen dat 'Queens English' spreekt, zoals wij dat op school leren, redelijk beperkt is. Maar ook in Nederland zijn er dialecten die voor mij niet volledig verstaanbaar zijn, dus het is een internationaal verschijnsel. In Inverness heb ik met mensen uit Zwitserland op de camping gestaan, maar als die onderling praten ... Ik heb het idee dat de boer niet eens wist, dat zijn beestjes de weggebruikers de stuipen op het lijf aan het jagen waren :)
