Hello my wife is currently a Practical Nursing student in Alberta, and soon will apply for PGWP. Me and our kids are still here in the Philippines. Can she apply us together with her PGWP?
Your english is excellent for me, I´m from Colombia and I´m preparing my application in NAIT for the next year. I´m preaying and hoping that my future teachers speaks like u ahahaha Thanks for all the info <3
Hello Eartha. I'm sorry, I misunderstood the mistake that you did not make. You said in time stop 13:33 that you missed the Student Visa and Co-OP. There is no button to upload it. Thanks
Hi Ms Eartha, my program will end on December 31 2024, and my Study permit will expire on January 31, 2025, When is the right time for me to apply for PGWP po? I hope masagot po, thank you
Hii Eartha. I’ve a question can we start working right after applying for PGWP or do we need to get an authorized mail from ircc that we can continue work. Thank you
Hello! Great question. I suggest that you wait until your receive the authorization email from IRCC. Specially now that they are becoming more strict. It took about a week for me to receive the email, which is not too bad. It is better to be safe than sorry later 😁 Hope this helps
Hi, I have a question related with the passport. I understood that I have to upload a photo of the page with my personal information and the pages with stamps. I recently renewed my passport, so I would like to ask if I have to take photos of the old and new passport or just the new passport.
Hello! I do not know much about the specifics of the documents, but usually you want to declare your most recent unexpired passport, then have your old passport as part of the supporting document, if that makes sense. It is always better to send an inquiry to IRCC if you’re not sure on what to do. They usually take a while to reply, but at least you are safe. Hope this helps 😅
@@WeckLab yes, what I did was take photos of the passport (bio page, stamps, visa) and also of the old passport (bio page, stamps, visa) and put everything in one PDF. They approved my PGWP
Hello, can you make another video that is applying outside Canada? I’m thinking to apply it when I go back home after my study’s over. Thank you and God bless ❤
@@AlbEartha Hi! Thanks for your response. So my program’s over and I’m in my home country right now. I haven’t received my Completion letter yet when I flew. My college said it will be on May 8. So I’m planning to apply it here in my country and not inside Canada.
Hello, sorry for the late response. Great question. It depends since both institutions offer different courses. If you’re coming to a country like the Philippines where “college” means any institution that offers tertiary education, then you can get a little confused. Here college means institutions offering diploma programs (2 year programs) while university offers bachelor’s programs and higher. So if you’re planning to take a 2 year program, BVC would be a better choice. I’m not sure if Mount Royal offers diploma programs. If you plan to study Bachelors or masters, definitely Mount Royal. Unless you want to take nursing. I think BVC offers nursing program, not MRU. I might be wrong tho. Hope this helps!
Hi! First of all : very informative video. Actually i have a dought, Is it necessary to use the GCkey/ircc portal while applying for PGWP that was used for applying study permit or we can use a new GCkey for our PGWP. Please tell 🙏
Hello! Sorry for the late response. I think you can use a different IRCC account. I find that it does not really matter which GCkey account you use because at the end of the day, you’d have to provide your UCI number (Unique client identifier). Some students had a consultant/ representative applying for them when they were applying for student visa, and did their own for the PGWP. As long as you link your application with your UCI, you should be fine. Hope this helps! 😁
The education section is confusing, shouldn't you fill in the education/program you took in Canada (the one you're applying PGWP for) rather than from your home country??
Hi Arnold. It depends which section you are referring to. If it’s the highest educational attainment section, you should declare your highest educational attainment. It happens that I have a bachelor’s degree which I earned from my home country, so that’s what I declared. Bachelor’s is higher than diploma anyways. But if your highest educational attainment was your education here in Canada, then you should declare your Canadian education. Hope this helps 😁
Hello there! I used the same GCKey for my application. I did my study permit as DIY. But, you can create another account for this, specifically when you used consultants for your study permit. You will be asked to link your study permit number in the application anyway, so nothing to worry about 😁 Hope this helps !
Hi Ms. Eartha thank you for the information however I am filling up my imm5710 and when I click validate it did not pop up anything what should I do I hope you could help me.
Hello there! Sorry for the late response. As far as I remember, when I click validate with my application, a “YES” comment appeared below the validate button. I also did not see a pop up. Let me know if you had this sorted out! Good luck with you application 😁
Hello There! Sorry for the late response. I feel that you should add both. It might have a bearing with your PGWP application. However, it would be wise to speak with a consultant, since I have not met anyone who studied in two different schools. Maybe you can share your PGWP application experience, to help those who have the same experience as you! 😁 Although I know that for those who took 2 certificate programs, there were given 3 years PGWP since it was considered as a 2year program. Looking forward to hearing about your experience! 😁 good luck with your application!
Hello po. That is actually a gray area. Tho sa letter po ng school ko, it stated na while waiting for the official transcript and PGWP letter, 20 hours lang po ang allowed. Pero there was an extension na international students are allowed to work for more than 20 hours until April 2023. I chose to be safe and worked within 20 hours po. Also as soon as I received my transcript and PGWP, I stopped working until I received a correspondence letter form the IRCC na implied status na po ako. About 1 week din po akong nag stop work while waiting. Hope this helps! 😁
Hello Ma’am! Thank you po for the video. May I ask if need po ba talaga na sabay mag apply agad si SP and SOWP? Or okay lang po na si SP muna then once may work na sya pwede na mag apply si SOWP for extension? Thank you po and I appreciate your response 🙏🏽
Hello po. From what I learned from my batchmates with OWP and dependents, they find it better na magfile ng sabay for the reason na isang asikaso lang. They find na there is no significant difference between submitting ng sabay and submitting separately. None of my friends waited to get a job muna before applying. We did not see the benefit po of doing so. Hope this helps 😁
Hi Ms. Eartha! In case in the study permit it did not state that student can work off campus while studying, can she still eligible for pgwp after graduation?
Hello! It is best to refer to the notes and ask the IRCC to confirm. Each study permit is different. Mine has a note stating that I can work. My friend did not have the same note but after confirming with IRCC, he was given a notice that he can work off campus. It is better safe than risk it 😄 I am certain that IRCC would be considerate. Hope this helps 😃
Hello po ate ulit hehe. May tanong ulit ako hehehe.
Hello! Well, in my experience, ok naman. I didn’t feel any different. If you start comparing and picking on things you might probably feel slighted. It’s a reality na there is a huge difference between eastern and western culture and unfortunately, most people who feel bad were those na nahirapang mag-adjust with the cultural differences. But of course, please take what I say with a grain of salt. There are other factors pa rin naman to consider. With work, a lot of employers hire international students naman. I never had issues applying for work and interacting with people as an international student. Even now that I am working. The people I met were actually more interested na I am an international student. Most employers tho are particular with working hours. Of course, as an international student, don’t expect to be hired in a full time job. If you explain the restrictions ng working as an international students, employers are reasonable naman. If you apply for a part time position, you’ll most likely be hired specially with the hours restriction. Hope this helps. Each experience is different. The better way of seeing things is to prep yourself to face whichever challenge that comes your way. I choose not to be involved sa toxic relationships regardless if it’s pinoy or other nationals 😁
@@AlbEartha thanks po. Buti nmn po. Rinig ko pa kasi marami daw galit sa mga int. Student na pinoy immigrants. Lalo na ung mattgal na sa canada. Kaya mejo kinakabahn po ako. Hehe
@@princessdee6294 I understand naman. Would be up to you if you want to be bothered. I chose not to, and I am doing okay 😁 good luck po sa application!
Hi po, ask ko lang kasi yung dependent ko is working sa dental clinic but sa admin. Is it considered as working in a healthcare field or hindi po? Thank you sa help po.
Hello 👋 I want to apply for Diploma in pharmacy technician at Bow Valley College and I am searching for my seniors.....can anyone give me idea how can I connect with them.
Hello there! I’ve checked the document and I did not see any instructions that you should skip the employment history part. You should give details of your employment for the past 10 years if it is applicable. Hope this helps! 😁
Hello po, right now, I haven’t seen any new updates regarding this. So far, the advice pa rin po is if you choose courses, opt for traditional. You can confirm po sa campus of your choice how blended courses would reflect sa PGWP letter. Maybe you can provide details about sa new news ng IRCC(as they are many) and I can confirm. Thank you po for reaching out 😁
Hello po! I find it very interesting! I had a job right after graduating and most of the people I know din po had a job right away. The courses itself is applicable anywhere, like in personal life 🤣 Supply chain is one of the core pillars ng business, as it is the actual business. If you like the that concept, you’ll enjoy the program 😁 hope this helps!
With my jobs, I applied through LinkedIn and Indeed. My current job now, sa Indeed ko po nahanap. Kanya kanyang timeline po siguro. Took me between about 3 months na maland yung job ko now and its a mid-level supply chain job. There's a lot of factors din po that are involved sa job application, so I would try as much as possible to avoid comparing kasi to each their own. Kanya kanyang blessings 😃
@@princessdee6294 Thank you po! Yes, you can. Pero personally, it's hard. Some companies din po don't encourage like my company. If I want to work ng other job, then I have to let the management know. Pero that is case to case basis 😄
Hello there! I don’t quite understood your question. Would you mind explaining further. I did not want to assume and give you a misleading answer. Thank you! 😁
Hello Pawandeep, I do not get your question as much. But if I get it right, the only way to enrol for courses (as far as I know) is if register go online on mybvc. 😁 hope this helps!
Hello Nora, thank you for reaching out! 😁 I would be a bit biased, I would still suggest to go for Supply Chain. But, I know a lot of people who didn’t take supply chain who also managed to get a job right after graduation as well. Also there are factors like seasonality, organizational fitness and urgency that affect employment. I suggest that you speak with a campus career advisor to help you have an informed decision 😁 good luck 😁
Hi eartha Can an international student studying in business administration diploma at bow valley college can work full time in winter vacation from dec 16 to jan 8?
Wow, wonderful. We are looking forward into getting back there in winter . We can prepare better with this nice video..thank you Ms Eartha❤.. Keep Safe🙏💖
Hi congratulations! Can I ask... I need to get english MOI cert from the last University/College I graduated from? How about from my High School, do I need to secure MOI from them aswell? Thank you.
Hello, Ms. Eartha, thank you! This is a very informative video. I'm planning to apply for my PGWP next week po kasi and I just have some questions po sana about some parts sa form po. 1) In the EDUCATION section, is it okay to just put the word bachelor's degree, or do I need to put the field of study? Or is it also okay to use the word BS in hospitality management? 2) In the BACKGROUND INFORMATION po in (2b) there's a question po na "Have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country or territory? " My first application po kasi for a study permit got refused. What details po do I need to provide in the box below? Do I need to indicate the refusal grounds, or will just a simple "My first application for a study permit got refused" do? Thank you so much in advance and hoping for your response po. 💜💜💜
Hello po, I appreciate your feedback. To answer your question: 1.I remember just putting Bachelors degree lang po since the form does not allow for long characters. Bachelors should be good enough unless there is a specific place sa form po that asks for field of study. 2. I suggest to disclose po yung first denial ng international student visa nyo po, so you can apply in good faith. My friends and I believe na it’s better po to provide all the details since the immigration officer can see po yung records nyo. It might not look good if hindi nyo po i-disclose. Then of the form permits, explain po briefly what happened sa 1st application nyo. Good luck po sa pagapply ng PGWP! Hope your application runs smoothly, and marelease po yung PGWP nyo early! Hope this help 😁
Hello there! When I received my PGWP, I also received an electronic travel authorization (eTA) which allows me to come back to Canada even without a tourist visa. My friends who also applied recently received an eTA. It is a new initiative from the Canadian Immigration. Regardless, I will check if I can create a mock TVA and create a tutorial 😁 thank you for the suggestion! I appreciate
Thank you, Eartha, for sharing such an amazing video. I was wondering, is it possible to obtain a three-year work authorization by completing an eight-month study? I've heard that some people were able to get a three-year work authorization by including a Letter of Explanation (LOE) in the Client Information section. This option seems to be available for individuals with previous experience in STEM fields who are looking for jobs in the same category.
Hello there! Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it. I am not so sure about that. My friends who took an 8-month program were only granted 1 year PGWP. I do not personally know someone who was granted 3 years. Adding a letter of explanation is worth a try. It would be fantastic if you’re granted a 3-year PGWP. Let me know if it works! Good luck with your application, have a great one 😁
@@AlbEartha I personally know someone who got three years for 8 mths study, i think @gouravgarg6756 explanation of STEM makes it clear, because the person is in the health sector.
i have a medical exam expiring nov 25. when i click yes on the medical exam question it ends up with me having to submit it. but the processing time for these pgwp applications can take up to 180 days . does that mean i will have to do another medical exam at some point ? or will they not ask for it even after it expires?
Hello there! I didn’t submit a medical exam because the program that I did and the work I wanted to apply for did not mandate a medical. For what I know, you have to submit a medical exam that is valid for 6 months. For good measure, it is better to submit a medical exam that is valid. If you insist to submit a medical exam that is near expiring, understand your risks. I hope this helps 😃
@@AlbEartha thank you for replying. i did a 1 year program and now im applying for my pgwp. as you know its mandatory to do a medical exam when applying for a study permit. and since it hasnt been 12 months since i did it, it is still valid, for like a month and a half. my program is business , so i dont intend to work in a medical field too but i was just confused about the submission of medical exam part . most of my friends who have done 2 year programs (which means their medical exams have expired by now) do not have to submit anything. just 4 documents(passport, photo, transcripts, completion letter)
@@NIVEA815 Hello again. Maybe I should be more clear. You need medical if: 1.If you lived in one or more designated countries or territories for more than 6 months in the past year 2.if you intent to work in one of the following jobs -health sciences worker -clinical laboratory worker -patient attendant in nursing or geriatric homes -medical student admitted to Canada to attend university -medical elective or physician on short term assignment -reaching of primary or secondary school or teachers of small children -domestic worker, someone who gives in-home care to children, the elderly and the disabled -day nursery worker If you do not intent to work on any of the jobs listed above , then medical exam is not required. Hope this gives more clarity 😁
Hi ms Eartha. This is perfect sharing especially to working students all over whose option is to go online classes to finish school and dont need to leave their job.And bind with focus and determination ..looking forward to more inspirational videos.. God bless❤🙏
