If you wire two golf cart batteries, an inexpensive charge controller, and two 100 W solar panels together you will probably have enough to light the whole house with 12 V bulbs. Eventually you can get an inverter to have 120 Volts AC if you want it.
I think you are very positive and hardworking lady. I don’t think this is easy making a video with kids and everything around you, however you seemed very focused to show us the whole process. Good job and thank you ma’am.
Hi, I was trying to do some research. I thought I might get your opinion. I just squeezed a bunch of lemons into a strainer that was sitting on top of a plastic picture. When I was done, I poured the juice into a glass mason jar and put it in the freezer for now. I noticed the green plastic pitcher was now longer see through, and when i went to scrub it clean, that film that the juice had left behind was not coming off when scrubbing it. I immediately threw a way the pitcher , but now have my doubts about using the juice for lemonade. I am concerned about the citric acid might have melted the plastic a little and may now have contaminated my juice….any thoughts on this???
Lemon Zest is an excellent accent flavor to blueberry muffins, I found the hand-held potato peeler gets the thinnest zest and it was SO EASY compare to a grater or knife. 40lbs. of lemon preservation by hand I was looking for the simple way to get my zest (my wrist was about to be broke I've got the exact same lemon juicer you do right down to the same color.
Homemade Lemon/Lime Gatorade from the dehydrated then powdered fruit skins with added sugar You Control. Thankyou Dear for this video. I was also thinking why not use the half bowl lemon skins as a container to bake fish in or serve a lemon pudding in Why Not the skies the limit. Sincerely a Granny
The danger of old machines like this is that, first, you can reach into the tub while the agitator's moving, which can hurt you - and then, second, you can get pinched or squeezed by the wringer. I have a faint memory of being cautioned to never touch the wringer as a little kid in the late 1950s.
No offense, but I would be afraid to eat that after canning it. It is so thick I would wonder if the heat penetrated the milk enough to kill any, possible, botulism.
Where do people get the idea that you have to rinse your clothes outside of the washing machine? That isn't how you rinse clothes. You drain the washing machine, then re-fill the washer with clean, cold water, and let it agitate again. No need for a large sink to pour huge buckets of water in it. This method is creating way more work than it needs to.
*MUST INSTALL A CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM* Why not run the gas line from the basement up inside the wall as I did! Or down from the attic? New Building Code may require aluminum instead of copper tubing.
Love your pressure canner. I wish I could afford one of these, yours looks sturdy and functional unlike so many online these days that looks questionable at best and aren’t made to last. Cheers for a great instructional! It made this process a ton less daunting!
