Such an incredibly moving and beautiful song. For those who don't know, this performance was made in dedication to the victims of the Omagh bombing by the IRA in Northern Ireland. 29 people lost their lives with almost 300 injured as well, marking one of the worst attacks of the troubles. This performance was also coming off the tails of U2's album Pop and the PopMart tour in the 90's. Both the album and the subsequent tour were not received as well as their previous work. This show and performance marked the return of U2 to their more personal, emotional, and spiritual sound that they had let go from the 80's. From here, very shortly afterwards, they started writing what would become All That You Can't Leave Behind. The world would once again embrace U2 as the biggest band in the world. I also recommend that if you like this song, please listen to Electrical Storm.
Ozarbal is fascinating... his sensitivity and depth overflow in his songs. After listening to the album "Raoul and the kings of Spain" I realized what a such precious gift Roland offered his fans. Thanks Roland #deeploveforever
