Thank you for this video! I've been trying to come up with an idea for a Dragon Cultist build for Baldur's Gate 3 and this gave me a lot of inspiration.
I'm playing a harpy cleric of lathander who was raised in the temple since she was an egg when a paladin of lathander felt guilty for killing her entire flock on a mercenary merchant escort mission that got attacked by said flock. But she struggles with feeling if she really belongs and wants this since she has never experienced anything else. So, her priest suggested she goes on a pilgrimage to experience the world with the Morninglord's blessing. Will update once she goes through her faith crisis the DM is cooking up
I played a Lathander cleric who wasn't a morning person. It was a fun opportunity for humor, but also he was an example of making sacrifice for what you believe in.
It's the Moonsea. Not the "Dragon Sea". There is no Dragon Sea in Faerun. Also, Rauthauvyr's Road doesn't go all the way through Cormanthor. It links with the Moonsea Ride near the Standing Stone. Which is a much older road created by the Dalesmen.
Oh my. This brings back some Waterdeep memories from 20+ years ago. A right legal muddle. A lot of arguments as you how to charge my PC some trupped up charged. She was a not a Waterdeep citizen. She was a very high ranking noble of an Lords Alliance member. She is the defacto "in so much that Mielikki has one" head of the Mielikkian faith on Faerun. Friendly with Larael, but not so much Khelban. Just the sort of S@@t sandwich no politician wants. Half Elf Cleric 18/Ranger 14 in 1E/2E.
I can play any environment, and I loved the Moonshea Isles also, from one of the original Forgotten realms creators. It is a really spectacular place to roleplay.
Duergar are my favorite subrace of "Dwarf" to play. I seem to often be attracted to playing races that have been mistreated in some shape or form. It certainly adds a lot of flavor to their backstory.
so what if Tiamat was the one to actually send the original leader the prophecy and do to his craziness he actually did just read it wrong? and she just latter gave the answer to the other leader? :P I joke but it kinda sounds like something that could have happened honestly.
I had the maps of Waterdeep, I learned with help from articles how to run a city, I kept it ever flowing, and this carried through to Cyberpunk 2020, where it really shined. Once you truly learn how to roleplay a city, you can bring anything alive, and that includes the great outdoors, where I first learned to game an environment.
