The asking price is what the owner wants, it doesn’t mean market value. Average days on market for a property in Vallarta is around 196 this year, so yes, the house can sit on the market for up to and over a year.
Neither! Too hot and expensive, Chapala too many gringos! Also expensive. Mountains of Central Mexico, where Iive is better. Great climate, not too many gringos yet, therefore less expensive!
@@LarissaSokla ! Right now at 4PM, it is 88F, feels like 103 in PV. Pleasant 73 F where I am. Will cool down to about 78 in PV tonight. 60 where I am at. I could not sleep well at 78 degrees. I guess you like it, without air conditioning!
I’m of Polish & Ukrainian descent. I lived in SMA for 6 months. Now at Lake Chapala since 2019. Nice place I go to my home in USA frequently. Check out Oaxaca City. I spent 5 days there Rents are not easy to find for 400 $ anymore. Few and far between for a good place

Golf is hard to start at 64? This is an old mindset of thinking! Sorry but learning new things, challenging yourself and being active is the gateway to longevity! We invite you to join Larissa…we have players of all ages here at Vista del Lago. And I’ll point out to you SIR that most play “ready golf”
Don't forget the leaf cutter ants.... you need to put a barrier under the raised beds and ant proof covers for the top... and you need to cover at night for sure or there will nothing left the next day! 🤣 🐜😧 Btw there are a lot of PV refugees here who now live on the lake, that hot humid summer season in PV is as bad as being snowbound in Canada... no one likes to be stuck in the house for months because it's so miserable outside. 😉
I know a lot about PV. I’ve owned in PV for 17 years. Was a tourist for 20 more years prior. In all those years I’ve never met a person- anyone- that wasn’t happy. Tourists. Locals. Expats. Everyone loves PV.
50000 expats in PV. Of course mainly Americans and Canadians. But a lot more now from England, Spain, other European countries. Even Russia. Many well to do Mexicans from Guadalajara and Mexico City are also buying in PV.
There are apparently 50,000 expats that own property in puerto Vallarta. After 17 years down there I know many- who became great friends. Also have many awesome Mexican friends. PV is awesome
I am also from Vancouver. I bought a beautiful waterfront condo in PV in 2007. $210,000 USD. Put another $50,000 into renovation. I know they are more now- but- a cabin on a lake in BC is $1 million. Not good in the winter. I spend 6 months in Mexico- 6 in Canada. Great weather all year.
PV is very expensive now( for Mexico). I’ve heard it is the most expensive in Mexico. But there is a reason for that-it’s a truly awesome place, that everyone wants to be in. I’ve lived there for 17 years. Best years of my life. Love it.
Tourist hotspots are definitely NOT good locations to retire in. Mexico is a very large and diverse nation with many options for climate, infrastructure, cost of living, and of course most importantly, the PEOPLE. Mexican people are Awesome, hard working, family oriented, freedom loving, good people. Find a local town/city and enjoy a much more authentic Mexican lifestyle.
Yes, I think it’s a great idea to get out of the heat in Puerto Vallarta. Totally get that is where your heart is.❤ MÉXICO is such a large country. I’m glad you’re out exploring and can’t wait to see where you go next.
Hi Larissa, Earlier this year, with the help of Elena, I became a permanent resident and purchased a condo in Bucerias. My future plan might be similar to yours. Winter in Bucerias, summer in Chapala. We will see! Tell Elena I said 'Hi' 😊😊
So happy u made it safely from that situation.. the amount of the ‘beautiful’ Vancouver-hongcouver drug-world it’s well hidden in medias … no place is clean anymore.
Thank you for the video. This type of content is very helpful to learn the rental market in PV. Your videos are some of the best! I would love to see more.
Cost of living doesn't start until about 13 minutes in. Everything before that doesn't have anything to do with the cost of living. You're stating prices in USD in this video but the title is comparing Mexico to Canada so how is that helpful? I do think that $1100 USD rent is high.
Great Apts Great pricing. That last aot was amazing. But I'm looking for a 1bed room closer to to the beach .more updated I stayed in the Romanica zone a couple of months ago it was so much to do but a little busy. I would love something around that area to rent around 5-6 hundred a month. Could u help me find something. Your so detailed with your choses. I would trust your opinion. Thank you.
I used to enjoy your videos, but it seems like now you are trying to compare one of the biggest cities in Canada to a small tourist town in mexico..From your videos I can see the majority of your filming isn't even in Vancouver but rather the Surrey area and cherry picked areas that are know to be not the best areas..Vancouver is beautiful city and yes it does have some big city problems, but this isn't an accurate representation of the city as a whole...too bad.
Vancouver is not a Big city compared to NY or Moscow, and yes, it’s beautiful, but in my video I shred my thoughts about bad changes I see after being away for 3,5 years. Vancouver is way overpriced and majority of people are agree with me !
I enjoy living in PV during my visits there and, yes, I usually find well-located places to stay for economical prices; however, I stay away from the malacon with Colonias that are nearby. I much prefer being away from the expensive tourist areas that are a few blocks away, so I'm well located. I like being walking distance, but I could stay further away, because I usually have my SUV so I can travel locally and take day trips. I usually have my dogs with me, too, so I like somewhere comfortable for them, too.
