Weight is always the same, 16oz. Water depth varies based on water temp and bait fish but line counters are always set from 15-30 in the morning and 25'-55' when the sun comes up.
You need a size Limit that's for sure those are way to small of ling cods. If you had a size limit then you would get some nice size ling cod like in Puget Sound! and lots of big lings.🎣
@@VIPOutdoors1 26in" to 36in" average size this season was 30in" to 34in" and a load of over size this season. we rarely get small ones under 26in" and the season is only May 1st to June 15th that's what sucks in Puget Sound!🎣
I the area that we were fishing with the technique we were using, the answer is yes. In some areas or methods of fishing do not allow bait, so be sure to read and follow your local regulations before you head out.
In that video we are using the Daiwa Proteus WN 76HF. Great rod, but very heavy. Another great option with great power but a lot lighter is the EDGE HLR 7630-1
Very good! His information about the red meat and eliminating it as you do with Sturgeon religiously was excellent ! I do that with ALL FISH and the flavor is clean and never fishy ! He needs to heat the tortillas I like them lightly browned also!
Hey there really enjoy your show and just subscribed to your channel, do you ever notice super baits not spinning very freely, should I back off to 25-30 lb test line? Thank you for the info!
Thank you. The lightest I go is 30# when using Super Baits. I can see if you were using the mini cut plug, lighting the line could help. Especially in scenarios when fish have a lot of pressure.
OK GUY'S....., So who makes the best " NON" Down Rigger Clip release devise that holds a lead weight. I know of " REDI RIG BRAND". Have a variety of these same concept releases been tested???? Welcome your Response or experienced VIEWER.
Hey pro its nice to see you down in california. I live down here also and have been following your cooking for a while, its good stuff you helped me step up my cooking game. I also use your small line locks as my three way swivel when fishing for ca halibut. Thank you sir!
I use this set up in multiple rivers in Oregon. I dont know why it would not work in the Sound, but have never experienced it so I cant say that is does or doesn't. Sorry, wish I could be more helpful. Just make sure you are familiar with local rules and regulations before putting our treble hooks on spinners.
That's just clickbait..don't tell me that you would taste the difference between a dead racoon and your clams, after adding all that stuff to your "soup" . I'm challenging you, to come to my house and let me know what I served you. A bunch of ketchup, celantro, lemon lime, and chips?
Over the years I'm pretty sure I've watched every video you've put out and I've always been impressed with your positive attitude. It's been a good reminder for me to be a little bit friendlier when I meet people in the field. Thank you.
"I don't want to hear any belly aching.. 3:25. Freakin' classic stuff. Love it! I got more blades than I can shake a stick at and certainly don't mind buying quality tackle from VIP. They make great stuff and go out and lose a few blades and support this guy. Keep up the good work. The EyeDoc (Francis) doesn't let us run trebles on his boat. When you see us out there, say hi. I'm always the guy in the orange grundens on the bow rod.
Awesome video! I"m all over it and ordering now. PS. You look from BEHIND the object. So, you're running the line through the LEFT side of the lure. I was always told to run it through the right side hole - looking down on the spinfish from the top view.
Weather is hard or easy to prepare sturgeon it’s all depending on how you eat that Asian people they consider the bones are delicacy because they’re soft crunchy so if they have no problem doing the cutting we just eat them all together bone Sumeet
I would love to see how that is prepared. I’m 💯 in on try any food. I’m the guy that stood in line for 30 minute eat crickets and mill worms when I was in Thailand.
NOW IF YOU. RESIDENT IN CALIFORNIA YOULL NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS!!! There’s another salmon BAN AND POTENTIALLY THERES TALK OF NO LONGER BEING ABLE TO FISH FOR SALMON INDEFINITELY!!!
A guy like me busts his ass all week then has to get up at 2am to find a parking spot because all the fish bum tax evading guides are trying to catch a loaf of free government cheese.
I appreciate you being a hard working, tax paying American but I hope you’re not throwing all guides into the same category. Most of us run a legitimate business that requires the same if not more hours than some people’s 9-5. Please keep it positive on my channel.
@@VIPOutdoors1 I also used to guide and most of my money came from cash tips,I could write all my expenditures off my taxes and I killed way too many expensive government fish.
@@VIPOutdoors1 Out of my ethics for nature and the economics of pumping plastic shit from China I decided that it wasn't such a noble way go make a living.
@@VIPOutdoors1 While you glory grabbers and government cheese truck chasers are doing your thing I will be doing avian abatement and pikeminnow fishing.
