What’s the solution to this? I mean specifically to improve the inner cv
@OkiSubies
@OkiSubies 2 часа назад
@@luisking4812 One reason we feel this is happening is that Launch control was creeping past our targeted RPM causing us to let off the clutch quicker than we wanted to. So dialing in the tune and properly slipping the clutch should resolve it but getting aftermarket axles would be the next step after that
@luisking4812
@luisking4812 2 часа назад
Thanks for the insights I’m still running an R160 with my Cusco RS diff and do get away with launching with launch control.. but I’ve broken axles cleanly but never the inside of the cv as shown in your video Hope it works out!

@OkiSubies What’s your opinion on turbo timers? Which ones are your ideal brands?
@OkiSubies
@OkiSubies 2 дня назад
@@NyunJah We are honestly not a fan lol. After driving hard you can just keep the car running to let it cool down. The turbo timers making your car run longer after you turn it off every time is just unnecessary. Don’t hate them though, many nice brands out there but don’t have a specific recommendation though because we don’t really use them😅

Wow man this so cool , I’m new the car game , not very well educated but I bought a 1998 Subaru Legacy GT (Limited) unfortunately it’s a model from here and automatic. I was thinking about adding a turbo on it because why not because I’m sure that the North American ones don’t have turbos like the ones imported from Japan. Question for you , does mine have a turbo or no? And what would be the best turbo to put on mine ? Or should I keep it stock how it is? I know it’s not manual unfortunately but I love the car and I would’ve maybe liked to do as a project. Like I said I’m new to all of this. You guys killed it ! @@ericn7698 Thank you! The driver of the Impreza does really well. Both cars have a good amount of modifications, Impreza is a 2.5L built hybrid engine with a HKS 2835 turbo but the main modifications to get them to handle the way they do is a front and rear Cusco RS LSD, and Ohlins DFV suspension.

Hey guys. I have a v3 gf8 sti just imported from japan. The vehicle has 160km on the dial. I have not had a chance to take anything apart on her fully but i have taken the cam cover off on the passenger side to see the condition of the belt. It appears the belt isnt in in terrible shape visably. I can still read the painted words onn the belt itself which leads me to believe it has been replaced once perhaps in the last 50,000 miles /80,000km ago. The coolant inside the cars cooling system has orangish colored coolant. Should i replace the coolant with a different type & replace the belt & pump & pullies regardless?

Kevin, you have mentioned that the surprise GC8 is very og-japanese-made, and mentioned the use of piggyback when you could flash, etc. This is an old story and its known the car scene in japan does a lot of stuff different when it comes performance modifications. Can you say more about how things are done differently there and what are funny/odd ways of modifying cars you oftenly come across (and im strickly talking about tuning, engine assembling, swaping....performance related stuff). Thanks!!

Back in 1992 when I saw Subaru's ad in my country, showing "Full time 4WD, quad cam 16 valves", "0 to 100km/h in 6.8 seconds", and finally its name "Legacy RS turbo", those wordings were really really loud and gave such a wow factor then.
