It's such a beautiful model. We enjoyed our Steel Mini for one year, attempted to swap out the stones due to crumbling, and discovered the entire heating element, air chamber, and back panel were completely melted down.
After almost 4 years with the Huum drop I can say, you can't prevent the bending of the heating elements. Even if you you a very precice and careful during stacking. Because of the heating cycles, the stones will move anyway and deform the elements slowly. That is called creep deformation. But not the less the oven works still perfect and if the will exist an issue, there are spare elements available.
Is there no other way to prevent the heating elements from touching each other than to jam stones between them? Maybe a non conductive (ceramic) spacer could be used. You are hoping for the user to find the perfect width stones to jam between the elements, and this is sometimes impossible.
Buyer Beware, HUUM did not cover factory warranty defects under 1 year. Out $3k for HUUM Drop 9kw I installed a top-of-the-line 9kw HUUM Drop sauna with WIFI in June of 2023. It worked well with standard use, until one of the heating elements burned out prematurely at 6 months. HUUM agreed to send replacement elements covered under the factory warranty. After installing the new heating elements, the unit worked twice then caught fire and destroyed the heater completely. The replacement heating elements not only burned out but caught fire, as did the entire inside of the sauna heater unit. The sauna heater was destroyed. I sent detailed pictures to HUUM to file a claim. After 1 week they informed me that my claim was denied for 2 unsupported reasons. First, that I had placed stones underneath the element separator. Something that I had not done which was supported in pictures sent. Second, the electricity was not installed properly which was also not correct. The unit was installed by a certified electrician who followed all guidelines provided. HUUM said that their decision was final. Too bad, so sad! I am now out $3k and forced to buy a brand-new sauna heater. Since the company is based out of Estonia, there is little to nothing that I can do other than to post my story for others to know what they could be dealing with if you run into issues with your HUUM sauna.

Do not buy a HUUM sauna heater! There are much better heaters backed by reliable companies out there. HUUM is a shady company based in Estonia. If you have ANY problems with your heater, they will not repair or replace it, even if still under their 1-year terms. I have personal experience and lost out on a $3k investment. Instead buy a Harvia or Finlandia, companies with much more experience and a track record of taking care of customers

Hi! Good question! We actually preserve the sauna whisks for the winter. To preserve them, you can either dry or freeze them. For drying, hang the whisks in a well-ventilated, dry area away from direct sunlight until completely dry. This method allows them to last several months.
If you don't have a well-ventilated room to air-dry sauna whisks, you can try this: - Shake off excess water from the whisk to remove as much moisture as possible. - Wrap the whisk in newspaper to absorb moisture. Change the newspaper once it gets damp. - Place the wrapped whisk in a warm, dry area of your home, away from direct heat or sunlight. Near a radiator or in a dry room works well. - Unwrap and air out the whisk occasionally to prevent mold and ensure even drying.
For freezing, let the whisks dry for a day or two to remove excess moisture, then place them in a plastic bag and freeze. Frozen whisks can last throughout the winter and can be thawed before use to enjoy a fresh, aromatic sauna experience even in the coldest months.
To use preserved sauna whisks in winter, if frozen, simply thaw them at room temperature or in lukewarm water until flexible. For dried whisks, soak them in warm water for a few hours to rehydrate and regain flexibility. Once prepared, they're ready to enhance your sauna experience with their natural aroma and gentle touch :)
Hi there! The sensor is placed 50cm from the corner in a sauna to ensure it accurately measures the average air temperature. Corners often have higher heat due to limited airflow and radiant heat from walls, which can give a misleadingly high-temperature reading. By positioning the sensor away from the corner, it captures a more representative temperature of the sauna's environment :)
¡Hola! Aún no tenemos distribuidor en México, pero puedes pedirlo desde Estados Unidos. Encontrarás a nuestros distribuidores desde aquí: huum.eu/distributors-of-huum-sauna-heaters-and-sauna-stoves/
This is great, but I it could be even better if it included the UKU extension box too, since a lot of buyers will be needing help with that and the print instructions are a bit overly simplistic.
Hi there! Since we don't have all the information about your sauna, like how it's insulated or how much glass surface there is, we can't really tell you what sauna heater is the best for you. But since you're going to get the heater from our Australian distributor anyway, we recommend writing them all the information you have about your sauna, and we're sure they can find the best heater for your needs. Their website: wellnesswares.com.au/. If you have any more questions, we'll be happy to answer those. :)
@@huumsauna thank you, apologies, of course more info is required silly me. The barrel is not insulated, just 25mm thick Japanese cedar, one window which is 1m x 0.5m. The top half has bitumen roofing.
Yes, you can pour water on it. Up to 80ml at once. The temperature depends on the controller you are using. With our UKU controller, you can go as high as 110C celsius.
@@huumsauna interesting.. so just the heater on its own... Won't be enough I need to purchase another device to make it work??? Is there a cheaper solution .... Say I just want to heater and rocks?
From an energy consumption point of view, yes, a glass door is not optimal. Glass door though can be an aesthetic thing. Also it gives some level of safety, as you can see through it and be aware if people on the other side of the door are OK. If the sauna has well-designed ventilation, then the air gap is not needed, but most of the saunas lack ventilation. As they say, you can't have too much fresh air in the sauna. Without enough fresh air, you will get a dizzy head and the sauna session is not as pleasant as it could be. We wrote a blog post about ventilation: huum.eu/blog/guides/ventilation/
This is probably just to show the new control unit. They have UKU introduction video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qGxgJDDF6XE.html and installing video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0C2Nz-_r2pQ.html
