Unrealized Profits Tax. Rich people would sell off the market causing a crash. Asset like property would be more valuable. Yet Mom and Pop investors wouldn’t be able to afford as much of those assets. Also in the transaction of those asset would be taxable. Further reduce the profit ability of those assets. And less money in the economy. I think a major problem is Blackrock buying houses and being able to hold them due to tax write off incentives. I have serious doubts that the pivot will signal bull run (that is a mainstream narrative). According to some sources they expect 1 trilion in assets held by oversees to be liquified in order to lock maximum gains from strong dollar. In addition mag7 are incensitive to rates. Most importantly there are trilions that have been pilled up looking to lock still attractive tbond yields.

Fundamentally your right & I hope it comes down so I can buy again at good prices but I've been waiting over a year & still we're not even close to those levels. But, so much was printed initially that it's been put into markets and earnings haven't been anywhere as bad considering the climate, plus there are still trillions on the side waiting to be invested. I think we may get 10-20% correction unless ai causes a big burst causing a bigger drop.
