A cold start refers to the out side temp being lower than normal especially in cold climates usually around freezing temperature. Then going out side and starting said car as a cold start. If you live in Arizona and your car has been sitting all night at 105 degrees it’s not a cold start. And no modern car has a true cold start. The ECM brings the idle and throttle positions into perfect alignment immediately and has no need for warm up or high idle like a carburetor. Sorry buddy all my vehicles are carburetor and they all can cold start in the dead of winter on the first fire .
