@@simonnomis9822 Hello ! I’ve not made any new sounds for a while now - just haven’t had the time, something I’d like to do again at some point. Vocal samples I do myself and spoken samples I look at old radio broadcasts / emergency broadcasts that kinda thing (RU-vid) chop the part I want and copy it over to the Akai. Hope this helps.
@@simonnomis9822 Oh yes ! The internal sounds are excellent, the analogue synth part is a little on the quiet side compared to the 2 x digital synth engines. The sequencers are typical Roland, precise and very easy to use. The drums have every TR kit and sound fantastic. I use one of the digital parts to sequence external gear, works flawlessly. Highly recommended.
yeah, i remember that review. analog purists are a joke. i own analogs, i own digitals, they're both good and jx-08 is better than an original jx8p. it isnt a perfect replication, its an improvement. analog doesnt always mean better. jupiter 6 is a good example of that. it sounds like 💩.
Great insight into your recording procedure mate, I liked all of the boxed items lined up, it's kind of how I have [what's left] of mine at the moment. Long gone are the days of two tables full of gear... you'd be surprised what I have in place of one of the tables now... to give you a clue.. it's now called 'Sega Corner' :)
Thank you ! No issues with the KRK 5 monitors, I’d happily buy them again. As with any monitors it’s a case of getting to know their sound, do A - B comparisons with commercial music played through them, it kinda tunes your ears for when you put your own sound through them. Took me a few weeks to get used to them but now anything I record sounds great :-)
The krk's are nice, I had them for a while. If you haven't pulled the trigger yet, it's worth considering the presonous e5XT. They have more filter controls on them and deep tweeter cones, perfect for more compact spaces. Just something to consider :)
Hello. It’s from an old radio show that reviewed local bands music (circa 1985) this chap (the sampled words you hear) is talking about our music. Just lucky we kept the orig recording.
