I really enjoyed touring the butterfly palace with you. Kind of shocking that it costs $25 to get in, though. That would be tough for a family of four. Loved seeing the butterflies feeding from people's hands. ❤
I thought it was very expensive but it was crowded. I guess people tend to indulge themselves on vacation. You could really spend a lot of money in a place like Branson. When our kids were little, we always camped in national parks and went on hikes or went canoeing. That’s what my kids do with their kids. But most people seem to need to be over-stimulated to have a time. I prefer to relax.
He shouldn't quit his job. Job comes with insurance, 401k, bonuses, HSA contributions, and social security contributions for later in life. He just needs to work more. I worked 6 and 7 days a week and managed rental property.
Loved seeing this restaurant and the thorough look at the menu! Interesting dishes. I would definitely mess with the salmon tacos for $15! I love a good Sunday brunch and they're getting harder to find, that's for sure. If you do the brunch, you'll have to let us know!
We don’t eat out often but our county has a program for seniors where you get a healthy meal really cheap. It prob saves the state money if they can get old people to eat a little healthier.
You got some fantastic clearance deals. The lasagna looks like my cup of tea, thanks for the inspo because I have spinach that needs using up. Corn/cilantro salad is a go-to for me during season. I watched/listened to this on my way to work yesterday, but I made all the lights so didn't get to comment until now, lol.
As a Critical Care Cardiology RN, I can attest to women’s symptoms of heart attacks can be very different from men’s symptoms. I have seen some that only had jaw pain and ended up requiring cardiac bypass surgery. Some as young as 36 yrs old. Good for your mom recognizing she needed help.
I feel for your mom and I'm very glad for her getting through it ok. The symptoms I usually get when I I'm having a heart attach are major jaw pain, neck pain, vomiting and back pain. Let me tell you this much , it is nothing to laugh at. I had arrhythmia and tachycardia and a heart attach all at once no fun and no kidding. I remember one Sunday I had my husband at emergency all day and at 11pm they decided to keep him all night in emergency so I went home. I wasn't home 10 minutes when everything started. So I called 911 and the first one was appearing in the door way and my weak but first words were ,hope you have something for me to throw up in and he handed me a bagjust intine to prevent it being all over either him or the floor. He wanted to know why I was sitting on a chair in the door way. So I wouldn't pass out because it was winter and chilly out. They were going to transport me to Barrie it's a city about 11/2 hours away but my veins kept rolling so my iv had to be taken. They get me to Huntsville hospital which is were I live. My poor husband could hear everything that was happening. My nurse did go and talk to him. That was the worst three attachs of all 3 events and they had to put me out and stop my heart and restart it. Horrible thing to go through. Just a month ago I finally got to see a pace cardiologist and am now on his list for a procedure . Don't know how long I'll have to wait for that. It is amazing the things that can be done. ❤❤❤😊😊😊 take care of yourself.
Oh wow! You have been through the wringer! I am so glad you are getting treatment. I hope everything goes smoothly and you get feeling better soon. Stay strong!
I was looking through your channel today to make sure I didn't miss a video, I'm so used to watching 2 or 3 of your videos each day. Well, I guess that explains the absence. I'm glad to hear she is doing better. And what you said is true- women ignore symptoms. I have not been feeling great for quiet some time, and I chalked it up to getting older. I got a call from my endocrinologist and I have test positive for Celiac. Oh! I eat pasta or bread, or some kind of gluten food everyday and just found out- as I was finishing a bowl of left over pasta for lunch, that I need to be gluten free. I will say a prayer for you and your mother. Stay strong!
Thank you so much! Thats a big diagnosis! At least you know what is making you sick and can start working on feeling better. I have a couple of friends with celiac and they felt so much better once they went gluten free. You’ve got this!
How do you keep people from mowing your yard when fencing isn't option? Will the fbi help if the local officials won't and they admit it is trespassing.
I remember this. I was in 3rd grade, and all the students-kindergarten through 6th grade we packed into the auditorium to watch the lift off. We watched it take off, and we watched it explode. The principle then the TV off over quickly. I don't remember the teachers talking about it, I do remember the boys talking an out it and making exploding noises and being all excited. I think every student in the United States witnessed it.
We have all witnessed so much tragedy live on TV. 9-1-1, shuttle explosions, wars, Oklahoma City, Waco, etc. I doubt our brains can distinguish between in person and watching on tv. As a nation, we prob all have PTSD. John Wayne told ne the other day, “I wish my brain could forget what my eyes have seen”. He saw a lot of terrible things on the Fire Department as well.
New subscriber here! I remember those graham crackers turned into cookies with icing. I also loved graham crackers with peanut butter. Graham crackers, saltines and oyster crackers were staples in our house. Saltines got a smear of butter.
Thank you for sharing! I have seen lots of other "influencers" posting about Temu. Thankfully I have never been interested in buying anything or downloading the app.
An issue we've had lately twice was ordering something customized with name, DOB for medical alert bracelet from Amazon to be USA origin and mafe in USA but shipped from China. Makes me furious
I worked in a private university for 12 years. I was in the customer service center, and I felt primarily with financial aid and billing. Parents and students would call and scream at me because we weren't sending them a financial package and they spent $200 to file their FASFA, and i had to tell them what they were getting. It broke my heart every time to tell them that FASFA was an acronym for Free Application for Student Financial Aid- they shouldn't have paid. Then, I would go on to inform them (and it wasn't part of my job, but I would have felt guilty not telling them) that not only were they scammed or if $200. but they also have the scammers their social security number, the social security numbers of all other people in the household, ALL their biographical information, AND their credit card numbers. I would have to inform no less than 3 people a year. Awful job.
Wow, great deal on the Pam and EVOO. Crazy flooding everywhere thanks to Beryl, glad your house didn't flood. You are so right about people being better off with more info, not less. I don't know what it is about being over 65, but it's like some people lose their common sense. My mom got scammed a few months ago by a caller pretending to be with her cable company.
I’m sorry about your Mom getting scammed. I saw Doctors and Lawyers get scammed. Con artists are very good at takkng advantage of people. It’s often organized crime.
After getting the oldest kid potty trained, we had an issue with too much toilet paper being used. So, we told her that she only needed the number of sheets of how old she was.....3,4,5. That helped her in counting and use less toilet paper for a few years. Obviously after that she knew how much to use as needed. Love the tips!
My gosh! That road is horrible!! I just found your channel. I’m a Kansas girl too! 😊 I live in SE Kansas, so we also travel on roads in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas often. That road definitely looks like a Missouri road! 😂 Missouri roads tend to be the worst…in our neck of the woods anyway. I love the camper. It looks very similar to ours.
@@crazycheapchick No, I live in extreme SEK, between Pittsburg and Joplin Mo. However my two daughters and my granddaughters live in Wichita so I travel there about every two weeks. I feel like Wichita is my second home because I spend so much time there!
