I’m making Penny’s Eevee into a ribbon master and this video has been a HUGE help! Got all the BDSP ribbons then evolved him into Sylveon, my favorite eeveelution. Took him into Galar and now pretty much all I’m missing is the marks from Paldea. I’m so excited! Thank you for this great guide!
i was gonna try to get a ribbon master, but then i realized the Master Rank ribbon is a thing, and honestly? no thank you i hate battling online, regardless this video was amazing definitely worth a sub!
UR THE BEST , its so nice to get an good explanation to get all the ribbons for the switch i sont have the pokemon game on the 3ds or other pokemon devices so its really nice to get an explanation for just the ribbons on the switch thank u
3:25 "one nice thing about bird Pokémon is that it's relatively easy to figure out what they are inspired by" Unless it's the Magmar line which most people only know are blue footed B00bies because of Magby's Japanese name lol
I love diving into the lore behind Pokemon designs, so a video like this is right up my alley! Something I learned recently while looking into the Toucannon line is that toucans are closely related to woodpeckers in real life, which explains a lot.
This was a very good video! I appreciate the amount of research you put into it. But I think the tangent about scientific research in the middle of the kecleon segment felt like it had nothing to do with the video. Like I don't think there's anyone that expects pokemon to be 100% factual and get their scientific facts from it. As you explained people believe that chameleons are masters of camouflage so Gamefreak used that stereotype to create their design. When people see a chameleon character they already know it will have something to do with camouflage. I don't mean to say this as a hate comment, again, this was very well put together and I hope you keep it up. I hope you make more of this series
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I get what you're saying on the kecleon segment. Regarding the tangent on scientific research, it's just that - I saw a comment online where someone said that they had learned about the Cordyceps fungi (zombie ants) from the Pokémon Paras and Parasect... instead of learning about that from a biology/science class. If I said that chameleons camouflage to blend in with their environment, that would be incorrect and not in line with the scientific research. I'm trying my best to be careful with my claims and not spread misconceptions, as well as being educated on how stereotypes can affect the Pokémon design. Again, I appreciate the meaningful feedback and will definitely keep it in mind for future videos!
I just noticed the video with highest views is only a couple thousand. I assumed this was a bigger channel with tens of thousands of views. It definitely has the quality of one. Fingers crossed you’ll get there.
Gorabyss is at least partially based on a snipe eel in the same way that Huntail is at least partially based on a gulper eel. Also there is a type of marine mollosk that develops differently depending on the temperature of the water it is in which may be why Phione is a thing. I wish I remembered which one it was because there was a whole thing where it was thought the two morphs were different species but it turns out some just got swept out to another area of the ocean and became something else. I could have sworn it was a type of clione but I tried looking it up and couldn't find it.
I love this series idea and can't wait for more episodes. Figuring out the origins of the designs is one of my favorite parts of pokemon. I 100% agree with you that there should be an art book sighting the artists and their inspirations!
Thank you for your kind comment! I’m still researching for the next episode but I also enjoy trying to figure out the origin of the Pokémon designs ^.^
She’s just a neurodivergent, lonely teenager desperate for intimate human connection that she can bond with. Her hyperfixation is battling and her ADHD tendencies rub people the wrong way, but she’s just lonely due her to mental differences and is trying to find someone, ANYONE, to attach to who won’t abandon her or dismiss her.
Hey, for the tower master ribbon in sword and shield, I did both the single and double matches and maxed them out and my pokemon still doesn’t have their ribbon
Have you beat Leon with your ribbon master Pokémon in the battle team? He shows up every 10 battles once you get to MAX rank. Should get the tower master ribbon for both singles and doubles once you beat Leon at MAX rank
@@benboy8591double check your summary screen for the ribbon? You need to battle/ win against Leon at MAX rank and your Pokémon must be in the fight itself to get Tower Master ribbon
