As an older person, I have had to twice diagnose and treat my own illnesses myself. Unless your symptoms exactly fit those in a medical book, and there is not a pill that will fix the problem, you must be your own doctor. RU-vid commenters will describe their symptoms and can be very helpful.

An innocent little- stupid crybaby of a kid who didn’t know what she did wrong, who wasn't deserving of anything that happened, who was a doormat for her earlier life, who now died and became an annoying and rude teen who doesn't know any better or how to accept people being nice to accept for their parents. That's who I am.. and y'know what? I may be mean, but I'm also somewhat respectful, I'm not a walking carpet, I'm shown respect, I may have a voice that is unheard, but sometimes that's okay. People don't mess with me that much, and, I think that's worth it. Maybe it's worth it, I don't know, maybe I'll never know, but hey, I'm having some fun, so, theres that i guess?

Such a fun video! Love it! I'm itching to try an author's writing routine now too. I have two author's in mind at the moment, but I'm also working on several content creations, such as a collaboration video. Speaking of which, would you be up for a collaboration video in the future?

Thank you!! You should definitely try it out. It's been a fun break from my routine. Right now with work, my health and the channel, I'm not able to do much more than film these impromptu videos on the random days I feel up to it, but hopefully things balance out and I can do collabs in the future

My daily word count goal is 200 words 🤪
@stefslyfe
@stefslyfe 4 месяца назад
200 words a day for 365 days is 73,000 words which is a novel. Consistency is the name of the game, not impressive numbers. Keep at the 200 words and you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish.

Oh this is so great!! I've been looking into morning routines of famous authors but they've mostly all been men, haha. And I LOVE TJR so this is absolutely perfect. @Thecozychaotic
@Thecozychaotic 5 месяцев назад
Thank you so much and I absolutely do! That said, just because it's possible doesn't mean it's easy. I can be a jealous person, but reflecting and going to therapy has helped me realize that that's something for me to work on, not a flaw in my friendships. It isn't that female friendships are inherently full of jealousy, it's that we're often so used to comparing ourselves, so working on my own self esteem has helped a ton!

Lately it's been super cold days where I get so brain chilled I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about but it's okay. Greta Gerwig, who's been one of my heroes since 2017 (the year she brought Lady Bird to TIFF), has made initial drafts that are 300+ pages and this is uncouth for a comedy. But the really good part of this process is her limit as a writer saying "any more of this and I'll rip my hair out". And that's where she creates the work as a whole. If that makes sense. And Gerwig makes you think about what tropes annoy you, but for me, MANY MANY tropes annoy me and it's a matter of the context heightening the irritants of some of them. Good storytelling will push past all this, whether you're getting it from Greta Gerwig or Olivia Wilde or Emerald Fennell. They've found the gold, then we find the gold. We are writers.

Very late to the party here. 3:45 is an especially homey-looking ramen. I would've *loved* a dish like that to end 2023 with. Strategic spontaneity is a powerful tool in theatre, which until last year was my main profession. Writing or directing a play, you're doing it for an audience and for their sake you want to try things. To be spontaneous is to make what's on the stage a living, breathing collection of ideas they can absorb. Usually you're telling a story, but sometimes it's good to lead them off on a tangent and explore the emotion between scenes. It's comparable to how a painter uses composition, except in this case you're using actors, sets, lights. Public transit is very, very dependent on the city that surrounds it. So it doesn't surprise me living in Austin TX supplied you with a good experience in that regard.

Your wax seal reminded me of the Ladd Company logo, which assumedly is on the more obscure side of brand recognition. (They produced Blade Runner.) It also reminded me of the house sigil seals in Game of Thrones, when they'd send documents by raven. Have you ever thought about buying a pet raven and having it memorize a carrier route? Thinking smaller and leaving things unsaid tends to fly in the face of literary ambition ... in other words, subtlety causes pain. But I've been working on that in my own writing, and curiously enough, a very spare-of-the-moment side project last weekend freed my subtler side. Less purple prose this time. Happy February to you.
