Now that it’s summer I’d be fishing baits a little off points near the channel like swimbaits, deep diving cranks, shakey head worm, or Carolina rig. I’ll even have a jig to flip structure along channel swing bluff walls or drag on the bottom
Hello ! What are the size and name of that spinning rod you’re using in this video and what are the name and size of that spinning reel you’re using in this video also and what are the name and size and color of that fishing line also and what are the name and size jig heads you’re using also please. May the Lord be in your heart today to answer all of my questions and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family and your RU-vid channel in 2024 please 🙏 can you please do a little more casting for crappies RU-vid videos in 2024 please Thank you so much 🙏
It’s a 7’0 Duckett Crappie Slayer Rod paired with a Shimano Sienna 1000 series reel with Mr. Crappie 4lb test line. The underspin jigheads were bought off Amazon. I have a casting crappie video to post on the channel as soon as it’s edited. God bless!
I have a crappie spot on Cherokee that i want to share with you. i found it livescoping for bass. Maybe you already know about it. I am the guy with the green colored truck that is always running into you. Boone lake was the last time we ran into each other.
Curious as how you would rate Cherokee as a crappie fishery? Also what advice would you give someone just getting into crappie fishing on Cherokee? I don’t get to fish much so I’ll take any advice I can get so most days I do get to go are at least fairly successful.
You left your net man behind again, now that’s my kind of fishing, you and dad need to go back there and do a video on catching or buying bait, and how deep the fish are, more detail like your crappie vids, you the man Jess!
The damiki worked the best for us we just found the bait in the water column which was about 50 foot deep and trolled around until we saw striper on the Garmin feeding in the bait. Glad you enjoyed!
Jesse caught some up there one day when bass fishing he found a school. I have never caught one up there but I have never tried. I used to see big stringers of crappie in that east tn fishing guide that would be in all the bait stores years ago.
Yes sir they are still biting just gotta find the right areas on the lake. I can fish a school and they won’t show any interest then I can run a mile down the lake and catch 6-7 keepers out of one spot.
@@justreelfishing2002 Does the mercury limitation not worry you? According to Tara we should not eat more than 1 meal per month from Cherokee. I love them too and I have eaten them all my life from Cherokee.
@@floydqiillen5332 we have a fish fry about once a month too. Elders in the church will ask me to catch some for them also. I keep them often but we don’t eat them every day because of the Mercury issues.
