When I run diskpart, it seems to detect and see the drive. However, in file explorer, it does NOT show up. Also, in diskpart, it shows that its completely full with no space available. Either way, I need to get data off of it. Any ideas?
So many different situations. With that being said. It’s about preference. You will be good with the SM7B. But some times I like to run a Cloudlifter with my setup. That SM7dB is going to give you a few options. Including not carrying around anything extra with the Cloudlifter built in. If you have the budget get the SM7dB. There, I said it. 💯🦾 You might be in a situation that you have to use another interface that might not be as powerful as the Wave XLR. Plus your setup will be cleaner if you like to use a Cloudlifter. Think about your situation and go for what will benefit you the most and if you have the budget go with the SM7dB You are just future proofing your set up. Good luck 👍
The SM7dB adds +28 db of extra gain, which is completely pointless for Wave XLR owners. The Wave XLR offers 75 dB of gain, and the SM7B only needs about 60 dB of gain.
Did you say you don't need to format the drive? I did, because they yellow piece of tape says to do it. WTF? Now the WD software doesn't recognize it. So, I'm screwed?
It totally works! If you are connecting from XLR to a Cloudlifter this will not work. It doesn't supply phantom power. But from my SM7B to Elgato Wave XLR it works great. Thanks for dropping in. 💯💪
Go to 4:57. I have the AC running in the background. I turned up the noise reduction to 100%. I don't like running it that high, but I didn't have a choice. Thanks for dropping in on the comments and the channel.
Hey! Can you help me with a question? I’m about to buy either the shure sm7b or the sm7db. Still deciding which one. I have a high noise laptop cooler right next to where my microphone will be. I’m wondering if in that case the sm7db + wave xlr would be my best option. Oh, and I also have the stream deck +.
Thanks for the drip drop. The Wave XLR has noise reduction built in the software. Also, the Wave XLR works with great with the noise reduction in the Nvidia Broadcast App. So, the SM7B would be fine. That being said. 1). The Cloudlifter adds something to the sound that I like 👍. 2). I would get the SM7dB. If I had to buy a new one. I like the sound the Cloudlifter gives to the SM7B. The Cloudlifter ☁️🏋️is built into the SM7dB. So, nothing extra to carry in your bag 💼. 3). Just depends on your budget and sounds like that’s not an issue. My mics or close to my computer most of the time and I’m running the AC to keep the room cool. Just remember to bump up the noise reduction and then bring it down to where it barely kills the noise. Too much can distort your sound. I hope this helps. 💯🦾🫵🏽
I am currently using Thermal Grizzly with 12.5 kW. Alright, how many kW is this? It's not visible; it's not written. I am using 14900K, and at full load with 32 cores, the temperature reaches 80 degrees. What processor are you using? 5700G, are you kidding? Even with 8 cores, those values are too high; thermal paste won't be of any use! LOL
Kool. I have it applied to one of my main rig that I use for editing, video recording, gaming etc.... It tops out between 71 to 75 degrees running a 5950x with a Noctua NH-D15 Chromax. Black, Dual-Tower CPU Cooler 140mm, Black running just one of the fans.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8SMXYnxNGMo.htmlsi=APDyRPNuWtqChFng Ambient temp around 70 to 72°F What AIO do you have installed?
@@SavageTechRaw I am using MSI MAG CORELIQUID M360 along with Thermal Grizzly. There's a video in my profile where I stress the system with CPU-Z, pushing it to 100% load. During the tests, temperatures drop from around 85 degrees to 70 degrees. You should check it out. Yes, the power gets cut off, but the temperatures are quite good and normal. That's why I was curious about the kW values of the product you mentioned. kW values can indeed make a significant difference. If you get a Thermal Grizzly as well, could you make another video presenting these values again? Let's see the difference.
That’s all you need! You got up to 75dB gain on the Wave XLR. It also has anti clipping technology built in and plenty of VST or plugins available from Elgato. You will not be disappointed! Thank you for dropping by and the comments. 💯🦾
Just FYI. The new SM7dB has the Cloudlifter build in. If you want to go that route, but you will still need an audio interface (Wave XLR). Here is the 🔗 geni.us/sm7dBsSVAF
I think it's going to be okay. About 10mm difference. Here are the links to the specs from the manufactories. asia.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=400-HY-CL24-V1 www.arctic.de/us/Liquid-Freezer-II-240/ACFRE00046B I hope this helps. 💯💪😎
@@SavageTechRaw Thanks!!! ☺ But unfortunately I guess my GPU which I already own might be the problem, a 4070 ti tuf, which has 65mm thickness and the case seems to fit only up to 62mm tickness
It's very manageable. I can hold it with my hands. 😎 Tech specs: 31.78°C (89.2°F) on the read and 32.17°C (89.9°F) on the write of a 3GB file. It's idle around 31.11°C (88°F). Thanks for dropping in on the comments. 💯💪
One thing I do need to point out is that it doesn't have 48v phantom power. So, let's say you Joyo from the microphone to a preamp ( Cloudlifter etc..) You can't have a second set to phantom power the preamp to your interface and be totally wireless. You are good to go. If you are going straight from the mic to an interface that has a preamp built-in. Just FYI.
Thanks 🙏 for dropping in. It's plug and play to access the drive. You will need to download the WD software to update the firmware, access health reports, run diagnostics, check temperature, interface speed, etc.... On the drive. Here is the link to the WD Dashboard software: support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/31759/~/download%2C-install%2C-test-drive-and-update-firmware-using-western-digital
I just bagged one of these Zotac GPMs (Graphics Processing Module -- 'cuz this ain't no 'card' anymore), and this is the viddie I was looking for. Very informative and stylish look at it. Thanks, mate!
Thanks for dropping in and I'm glad I could help. That Zotac is a beast! It pushes through everything I can toss at it. You will not be disappointed. 💯💪🫵😎
@@SavageTechRaw Yes, sir. Slated for arrival Dec. 11-14. I was really encouraged at watching you because I'll be squeezing it into an IBP Trace 7 case with millimeters to spare, I think. Will report.
Hey u got evga clc, nice aio!!! I got 360 clc and I been thinking about upgrade to ones with screen but clc been serving me like a chaaaaamp!! Nice build broooo
I had this NVME in my 11700k rig with a 3080. It was a good drive but I have Steam start up automatically at boot in Windows 11 to game and this drive was a hit or miss on start up. It could take about 2-3 minutes at the worst to load steam. I upgraded to the P5 and the difference is night and day. The P5 is superior over this. I haven't had an issue yet. On boot, it takes between 30-40 seconds from me hitting the power button and steam launching in Windows 11.
Thanks for dropping in to share your experience with this SSD. The P5 2 TB is $17 more than the P3. Here is the link to the P5: geni.us/ub2l4q Just FYI 💯💪🫵🙏
Amazon. The ones I got are not available but these should do the job. Plus they are black. Here’s the Amazon link: amzn.to/45d3Jip. Thank for watching🙏
Thanks for the post and awesome review. I personally like this mic. I've been using it for my clients on podcast shows only. I'm creating a review of this mic in a real world setting. Overall what's your honest and final rating on this mic using the XLR out with no use of the software? Does it depend on the type of sound mixer used, cables, etc. Thanks again and great to hear this review your style is up.
Thanks for sharing and dropping by. The mic is great for the price point. It’s clear and sounds like a broadcasting or podcasting microphone. Using the XLR connection you can use different plug ins or VST’s to tweak the sound to your liking. I like to play around with the different sounds. Depending on what I’m doing or how I’m feeling when I’m doing vocals. Maono makes great budget conscious products. That works great! I’ve done a review on their new Maonocaster C2 Neo mixer. Which works great 😊. It pushes 60dB gain, Bluetooth and aux inputs. 1500mhA battery for portability. I love my Elgato Wave XLR interface. It comes with free VSTs or plug ins. It powers straight from the USB port and has 75dB gain. No preamp needed. Some people like the sound of the scarlet mixer. Amazon makes some good inexpensive XLR cables. Cable matters has good cables too. I’ll add these items links in the description. So, you can get straight to them. The mic is low out the box with the XLR connection, but has great potential. If you are familiar with a certain mixer and you like the sound it produces. That might be the mixer for you. As for as cable goes. Grab some with good reviews. Remember you don’t have to break the bank to get great sound. I hope this helps you on your journey. 💯🦾🫵 Keep me posted on how it turns out for you?
Holy Smokes@@SavageTechRaw what a in depth response. I truly appreciate you sharing and spreading your wealth of knowledge to me and the masses. I did check so cables on Amazon and purchased the recommended ones for my podcast. I;m using a Behringer mixer with lots of options for more sound control. I like the way you sound and my clients love the way they sound. Although I'm not the audio tech send from the gods, but I do know there's somethings I need to work on regarding setting my board. Anyway, thanks a many thanks for your honest review on this mic. I'll be sure to send you a link once I complete my review. Continue to inspire and create!
If you were impress about the C2 Neo pushing the power hungry Shure SM7B and would like a chance to win one from your boy SAV. Drop your thoughts right here. 💯💪🫵
Please help me answer my question. I have seen many buyers suffering from the excessive sound of the fans. Can you tell me whether the sound of the fans is annoying or somewhat acceptable?
I don't hear the fans most of the time. They are at 0% lol. So, I let them stay on auto unless I'm doing something that's going to be real intense. When I do that I crank up all the fans in the case. Even during hard gaming the temps are in check on auto. I love this card! 😍 It's so big at 14 inches long though. I hope this helps. Thanks for dropping in.🙏 💯💪🫵
wait, if you still have the pc case with the tips, can you show the difference? i can probably think of it but i want to see it before i actually like buy them even tho it's not a huge crazy amount that i'm spending for these tips.
Recently, I bought the sm7b plug it in my wave xlr and all i hear is a hissing I tried returning it and got a new one and new cable but I still don’t hear anything from the mic just the hissing any tips?
Make sure you are on the right interface on the XLR. Light should be on the mic icon. Make sure it's not muted and is turned up on the interface. Make sure you have the mic selected in the system audio. Check the Wave software to make sure it's setup correctly. Try using a different USB port. If possible. Let me know if any of this helps.
@@SavageTechRaw I tried those but nothing came out the mic no sound coming out in windows it selected mic in I change it to 65 dbs and don’t hear anything just the hissing would it need to replace or maybe a cloud lifter
Have you restarted your computer? I had a crackling noise when I first connected them. Found out it was the USB hub. I connected it straight to the mother board and the crackling went away. Also, the no sound.. just hissing. I had the interface set on headphones. duh. Assuming your are running Windows 11 and connected to the Wave Link MicrophoneFX in the input sound setting menu?
