Noticed how they recoiled from Makeshift touching their feet (a sign of the highest respect from the touched). Could it have been because of his caste, or well mannered modesty?
@26:35 that was so sad. How can someones own mother say this so casually in front of the son who has been working away to provide for the family, on top of that the way they talk to him as if he has to provide for these guys who aren't appreciative of his hard work. Barely showing any support and moral support towards his dream and ambition. I really hope Prakash is doing well today. I'm also glad to see at least his brother shows him love and support. If only there was an update on this guy. I thoroughly enjoyed this 3 part documentary series, it was very well done and a big reminder to appreciative and to be humble of what we have in our lives and to be grateful for everything.
I know this is a very old documentary but i am curious to how they are all doing. I really hope they're all well and safe. I know this was way before the lockdown so i could only imagine the immense hardship during those years.
Those "on top" are heartless, ruthless sharks. I'm sure that's a large part of the reason for their success but I don't think it's reasonable to trade your humanity for success. If they were just a little bit kinder to the people below them, the world would be a much better place.
I truly admire the hard work, determination, the joy and comradery these resilient people display. It's incredible that they live such poor, desperate conditions and yet still love, laugh and care for each other. God bless them 🙏
SIMPLY SURREAL , UNREAL AND YET...REAL! THESE PEOPLE ARE REALLY HAPPY AND MUCH MORE THAN WE WEALTHIER WESTERNERS, BUT WEALTHIER ONLY MATERIALISTICALLY SINCE WE DO NOT HAVE THAT QUALITY OF LOVE AND EXTREMELY ENDEARING EXCHANGES, FAMILY AND FRIENDLY LOVE! WE ARE ALSO SO MUCH MORE SELFISH WHEREAS THEY SHARE EVERYTHING AND ALWAYS WITH JOY AND LAUGHTERS! WE WESTERNERS ARE INDEED THE POORER LOT, NOT THEM! AND JUST TO CONCLUDE, THEY ARE ALL SO POSITIVE AND VIBRANT, SO FULL OF HOPE AND DREAMS! THEY ARE SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE AND...THEY TURN...MUD INTO GODDESSES! I CAN ONLY THANK THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE THESE 3 VIDEOS ON WELCOMEINDIA. I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE, BUT NOW, I FEEL, THAT I KNOW A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THAT COUNTRY, THAT IS I ALWAYS SHOWN THROUGH THE PALACES OF RAJASTHAN OR LUXUXY HOTELS...THIS IS REAL INDIA AND ITS REAL PEOPLE! I JUST LOVE IT! I FEEL VERY MOVED BY THESE PEOPLE!
IN SPITE OF THE SQUALOR, THE POLLUTION AND LACK OF HYGIENE, THE MOBSTERS AND THE DANGEROUS WORK FOR THEIR LIFE AND HEALTH, THEY SEEM HAPPY! THESE PEOPLE SEEM TO KNOW A SECRET ABOUT LIFE,THAT WE DO NOT KNOW!

FANTASTIC Video! I loved all 3 parts!! Inspiring and truly wonderful. I would really love to know if Prakash made it as an actor though. My heart broke fore him when his mother said her other son was her true favorite!! I hope he made it!!
Before moving to NYC, I lived in a tropical country often hit by typhoons, so I learned to prepare for the worst. In 2012, I was still living in NYC, a week before Sandy hit I started stocking up on food, water and essentials. Made sure my camping stove have enough gas to last a week and all my rechargeables are charged up. 3 days before Sandy, I told my aunt and uncle living in Long Island to leave their house and bring Poppy the dog to hunker down with me until the storm pass, it was the best decision I made since their house flooded and part of their house collapsed.
The poor indians have no choice but to do these menial work because most of them are uneducated & live in poverty so with the increase in population, it adds to more problem. The bastard gangster is making good money from the poor who is struggling daily. It is bullshit that he is protecting the community, it is exploitation.
These trains have been retired, but in the US Brightline is about to see if it can have the same success with a similar product..... Diesel powered High Speed trains that will race from Orlando to Miami at 125 mph and in a few more years to Tampa. Who knows? This may very well bring about the age of the train in America.
