I do think TLOU3 will be about redemption, I’m not sure about the plot though. It could go in a number of different directions. If Abby has made it to the fireflies and the fireflies are still looking for a cure, Abby knows that Ellie is immune… she also knows where to find Ellie, assuming she has gone back to Jackson. So, I don’t think it makes sense that Ellie would go looking for them before they came looking for her. However, I do, unfortunately, think they will do a 3rd tv series for TLOU before we ever get a 3rd game, which would be a bit of a bummer. The first series was nowhere near as good as the first game, imo.
I don’t agree with the setup,I think ND will not write about Ellie embarking on a journey because she feels responsible for a kids death. The previous games have made it very clear that Ellie feels responsible for not helping make a vaccine, and the idea of being guilty about this world is already very known to Ellie. Besides that if they were to write about Ellie leaving her family, and finding excuses for her to leave, they would be rewriting and repeating themselves after TLOU II. Great video tho!
Merci pour cette rétrospective des films de Mia Goth! C'est vraiment très bien fait, bravo. J'aurais aimé que tu restes plus longtemps sur "High Life" qui est un grand film sous-estimé mais sinon c'est un sans faute 🙂
Yes - I had watched High Life again after this video and found a new appreciation for it! There’s a lot to say about that film and I would’ve loved to spend more time with every movie on this list
i ve read the books and of course i ve watched the series as soon as it came up on RAI and have been patiently waiting for the next chapter but i just came here to like and comment on the video so it gets more viewers hopefully. because this series deserves so much more viewers. a jewel amongst all the trash we re fed from the networks. the secret: it s a faithful adaptation of the books
My Brilliant Friend is not just a story about a friendship. It's also a story about two women's lives, a neighbourhood, a city, a country, through the lens of different social groups, cultures and times. I advise anyone to read the books, or at least watch the show
This is an absolutely gorgeous essay… And I can’t agree more with everything you said. I don’t even remember how I found this show nor do I remember being swept up in it so completely that it took over my entire subconscious. I, like you think it might be one of the best shows of all time, and it is without a doubt, one of my favorite pieces of art to ever be created. Breathtaking simply does not do justice to the all encompassing experience of living in this world. Almost every shot is a painting in itself. There’s more emotion in three lines of dialogue here then some shows can manage in an entire season. And don’t even get me started on all the things that are said without words. The story of Lenu, Lila, Enzo, Pasquale, Nino, Pietro and others surrounds you in a way that can’t be described. This story is why art exists. This is what it is meant to be and meant to do.
I deeply relate to all the character + cultural themes expolred within these books + throughout this series. It is a brutally honest depection of what it is like to grow up in an Italian family with unresolved generational trauma. I cannot help but think how incredibly liberating, therapeutic + healing it must have been for Ferrante to not only write these novels but to also have them published + overwhelming adored by both men + women the world over. These stories aren't works of fiction...her words are real life lived experiences that resonate with readers + veiwers in ways we never knew existed.
Thank you so much for this video! Everything you said, is actually what I have always thought. Please make more videos about this underrated series. I’d love to see more content 😃
Found this show by accident and couldn't stop watching. By far the best TV show I've seen and I don't even care for dramas or subtitles. Can't wait for season 4.
I really would love to see the game your selling us. I think the ideas of finding a vaccine with Eliie being alive would give points to Joel's sacrifice and prove to Abby that her dad may have been wrong in wanting to operate on Ellie. Also, I truly think that TLOU cannot finish on a full happy ending with a cure being widespread to everyone. Either they cannot create one or they face moral problems with other tribes/organisations as you mentionned. I only disagree on the fact that the Fireflies are meant to be the "good guys". I believe that the problems might be coming internally when it comes to spreading the cure. I think that is why mainly everyone loves TLOU, is because there is no good or bad persons, only morally questionnable decisions that make all of us debate about them for a decade. Top video anyways :)
Read these books with my book club, I stayed up for days. I couldn't put them down. Great writing that made me feel like I was there in Italy. It was great having people to discuss how much we loved/hated the characters. I haven't seen the HBO show but casting is excellent 👌
I saw her first in "The Cure for Wellness" and was instantly fascinated by her. I am a straight married female (nowadays you have to mention this) and I find her so unique and beautiful. Her and Amya Taylor Joy are so brilliant actresses! I want to watch every single movie they are in.
Great video! Loved your takes and they helped explain why I just stayed up watching a sit com end hah. There’s just another layer I’d add about Jonah- I believe he is able to stay eternally hopeful because he had the privilege of growing up affluent. He has an inherent safety net the other characters don’t, and he is aware of what a higher wage lifestyle can feel like. So many layers to this show! Also this is the only media I’ve found so far where the pandemic doesn’t make me tune out, so well done.
I think a good idea for part 3 would be that JJ sneaks out of jackson with a friend and just like ellie and riley, JJ is immune to the cordyceps fungus.
To be honest I'm completely at a loss as to what part3 could even be about. No one's looking for a cure anymore. Ellie lost her family and fingers. If part1 is about love, part2 is about hate, then would part3 be about forgiveness and charity?? I have no idea
Read the first book and had to see the show. I am slowly watching the show, and since I have to read subtitles I am consumed by it. The author is a woman, I genuinely would be shocked if it was a man but I would assume even if it was a man he based it off all the women in his life.
