308-1409BT: Batteries died in remote unit. I replaced but only dashes on receiving unit. Was I supposed to press the button on the sending unit when I replaced the battery? Is the LED supposed to light or flash? Thank you.
In addition to the steps in this video, your sensor has a small TX button located above the batteries. Press this after you have the power restored to both the sensor and display. This should force a transmission (the sensor's light should flash) and connect it almost instantly. I have my weather station in my back yard, we have a huge tree not too far away but the unit still spins and works well in the southern direction. What happens as the cold weather hits and trees snow flies? I fear that it will be covered in snow and it won’t be spinning well, being made of plastic this could crack I’m thinking? Anyone else have any experience with the cold snowy winters?
The sensor was designed to withstand all normal weather conditions, including snow. However, it can be convenient to have it mounted in an accessible location to brush off any snow buildup that may occur under the right situations (snowfall with little wind). As for the tree, we'd recommend getting the sensor as far away as possible to prevent inaccurate wind speed readings and large clumps of heavy snow potentially taking out the sensor; an open area is ideal.

Hi! This may not be very related to the video, but my weather station (328-10618V3) arrived with the weather station, sensor and rain sensor, but no wind sensor. Is that normal? - Olivia

Had an older unit with a simple display WS-7034 and transmitter TX-6U. After changing the batteries, the outside temp would not display until this basic restart procedure was performed. Thank for the information.
Our first suggestion would be to try a new set of regular alkaline batteries in the sensor. If this fails, use the links below to contact support based on your location. Does it come with an outdoor sensor or does the outdoor temperature get received from the Internet? And also can I purchase this somewhere else since this one is retired on your website? Thanks.
Hi, I have a weather station that has worked fine, but now the outdoor sensor batteries last a week, rather than 6 months or more, any idea what the problem could be ? thx
Hi Martin, it could be that the sensor is going bad. For further assistance, please message our support staff here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport, or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook page. We'd love to help get this figured out.
@@lacrossetechnology Thx for replying to my post, I thought I would try and follow your video above, and it fixed the problem. So if anyone has the same issue, you know what to do 😀
I use this as an add-on sensor for my V50 weather station setup to monitor the temperature inside my home’s garage. I enjoy it so much because of its accuracy.❤
I have a suggestion. There should be a feature where if you wanted to put up a message on the display, the time should show up with it. There is nothing shown on the time section of the display, so why not include the time with the message?
I don’t know why, but there is a flaw with my display. It has been deteriorating for 2 reasons. First of all, on the Extra Sensor section, I enabled the auto scroll and then I got the pressure, my additional temp-hum sensor, and then three fake wind sensors. I’ve never owned a sensor that tracks only wind before. And when I click the EXTRA button, it brings up 3 fake IDs. When I try to enter them in the La Crosse View app, it just says that they do not exist and I should contact customer support, when I shouldn’t. There is absolutely no reason behind how it found 3 random wind sensors. It also shows that the sensor is reading - - MPH. In fact, I don’t know how to delete these fake sensors that it detected. So, this does not sound good. And second of all, sometimes while it is connected to the Internet, I usually just click the DAILY button to see the daily forecast for my area, but when I click it, I see an indicator on the date display reading - -/00/00. It still shows the day of the week and the forecast icons are accurate, but the expected daily high and low temperatures aren’t always. The display read 56.5° HI 32.0° LO TODAY. And this is another flaw, plus a reason I am planning a buying a replacement display.
Wi-Fi stations that support add-on sensors will inherently begin searching for sensors when it is first powered up or after a reset. It is not uncommon for stations to pick up neighboring devices from other homes, and we apologize for the confusion and inconvenience. Please review the "How Do I Delete Extra Sensors From My Station" on page 6 in our V50 FAQ document, which can be accessed here: bit.ly/v50_support As for the forecast updates, we'd ask you to please reach out to our support staff here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport, or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook page for further clarification as to what may be happening. Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience.
@@lacrossetechnologyI tried your friendly customer support email and they said that they were gonna send out an update. Hopefully this gets my weather station setup to start working again.
When an alert value is reached, the station should beep a few times each minute until out of the alert range. To silence the alert sound, press and release any button on the station; the alert icon should continue to flash while in the alert range. Otherwise, you can always follow the steps covered at the 19:56 timestamp in this video to deactivate or adjust a specific alert. For additional assistance, please message our support staff here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport, or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook page.
I already own a 308-147 (The bonus display that it comes with). But does that display connect to two sensors? Example: the square sensor (TX147) you guys sell (I purchased the bonus display with a temperature sensor different from the display.) And the vertical sensor (TX141TH-B) (The sensor I might already own from another display that still functions well.)? Thanks ☺️.
The 308-147 Wireless Thermometer display will only work with one sensor (either the TX147 or our TX141TH-B Series). Add-on sensors for the S75617 station featured in this video can be found here: www.lacrossetechnology.com/products/s75617#parts -- To display multiple Temp/Humidity sensors on the S75617, be sure to purchase the TX141TH-BCH sensors, as they have dedicated channel switches. @@lacrossetechnologyOk, that’s great! But there’s an additional question that I would like to ask. Since the station only comes with the display only, will I also have to buy a separate power cord? I would like to know if it is my La Crosse monitor or the National Weather Service that drops out several times a day. When it happens I lose the next two days of future highs and lows. Occasionally, one of the days only shows dashed lines.
Mine has the same issue. According to La Crosse, the issue is on their side and their developers are working on it. They're unable to estimate when it will be solved.

one more question. when i receive signal, does tower indicator has signal level? for example if signal is weak 1 bar signal is strong 3 bar. like that this feature helps find where to put clock

Many people like the convenience of an alarm clock, not only to provide at-a-glance access to time, date, temperature, or other relevant information but also for other reasons like the sleek aesthetic, disconnecting by not having a phone in the bedroom, or, in the case of Soluna pictured here, the ability to wake up with light instead of sound. Of course, if that's not your thing, that's cool, you do you.
I just bought a WiFi Professional Weather Station with an R3 rain gauge. It doesn't appear to have a solar cell primary power source unlike the Breeze Pro Sensor. How long should a pair of alkaline batteries last in the rain gauge?
In most climates, a good set of regular AA alkaline batteries should last over 12 months in our LTV-R3 rain gauge. Mounting it in a convenient location can also help with periodic cleaning for debris or insects.
