Hi there. All our devices update regularly, but the rain gauge doesn’t. Right no, in the midst of a big rain event, it last updated thirteen hours ago??? And tapping the refresh icon makes no difference. The batteries seem ok as there’s no weak battery symbol. The seven day report is active. This report is about my iPhone app. The central station records the data.
Hey Garth, our sincere apologies for the rain gauge update trouble. For further assistance, please message our support staff directly here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport. Or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook or Twitter: bit.ly/LaxTech__Twitter page. From there we'll help to diagnose and resolve the issue. Sorry again for the inconvenience.
The main forecast presented is an overall prediction of the conditions to come within the next 12 hours; this cannot be changed. If your unit has a FORECAST or DAILY, or HOURLY buttons, these offer the ability to specifically see future AccuWeather predictions for the times/days on your LCD.
Of course! You can find the items shown as well as other current connected choices here: www.lacrossetechnology.com/collections/complete-systems -- If you should have any questions, please just let us know. 😊
Hey Bob, our 79400 model station will, unfortunately, never offer the ability to connect to the Internet, this was the limitation that allowed us to sell the item at such a low price point. However, the Breeze Pro Sensor that came with your station would be able to pass data through one of our other WiFi-Connected displays. Our recommendation would be to add a V50 model display: www.lacrossetechnology.com/products/v50-11 -- This would allow for you to monitor your outdoor sensor data in another area of your home as well as give you the WiFi and mobile app features you're looking for. If you would like further assistance finding a different WiFi-connected product, please feel free to reach out to our store directly at 608-785-7939 or via email at: store@lacrossetechnology.com -- Our apologies for any inconvenience.
Hey Patrick, this is all controlled within your La Crosse View app. Our other video here: bit.ly/datastream_vid goes over how to set these up (and remove them).
Please be sure you're using the provided power cord securely plugged into a working outlet. If the unit will still not power up, please message our support staff here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport, or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook page for further assistance. We apologize for any inconvenience.
How come the last 3 days your system hasn’t worked to update for many hours a day? Is this going to be a continuous problem? We bought this to monitor our home when we travel but if it is going to do this all the time I will be looking at another brand. I have watched many reviews and Ambient looks like it my work better for us. I’ll just dump this one online.
We do apologize for the trouble over the past few days; there were some issues with our backend servers that should now be resolved. Our team is, of course, working to prevent this issue from happening again, and we appreciate your patience. If you still need help, please message our support staff directly here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport. Or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook page for further assistance.
Hey Jake, great question! Our V21-WTH weather station model comes with our LTV-W1 wind speed sensor, which, unfortunately, does not measure wind direction. Instead, the V21 display offers the ability to receive wind direction from the Internet once connected to your home WiFi network. If you should need further assistance, please message our support staff directly here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport. Or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook or Twitter: bit.ly/LaxTech__Twitter page.
just so i'm clear this device connects to wifi to send it's data to the app only and to receive weather related info from accuweather, etc, but does not act as a weather station in that it uploads the info to accuweathers website or to display it's info on other websites like weatherbug, etc? and if it does, will it display any of my info or location? also can my friend view my weather station info if i share it with him, i'm assuming he has to download the app and i have to grant him permission? sorry, i'm still watching videos learning of all the features, i bought the c75716 from costco.
Your first statement is correct. Our C75716 or V61 model weather station will only send your data to our La Crosse View app and the display will only receive data from AccuWeather, not provide data to them or any other website or app. No one will be able to know your precise location and our information is not shared with others. As for your friend getting access to your weather station and sensor data, this process is pretty easy and is covered on our support page and in our video here: bit.ly/share_devices -- If you should have any further questions, please just let us know.
well you guys are fast to respond, i appreciate it but i pressed and held the outer two buttons to reset it, now i'm in the app and when i tap "connect wi-fi" does nothing. this is strike three, i can't recommend this. the app needs lots of attention and this is a novelty weather station, if it sees any real weather, say 1/4 inch of rain and it's below 32 degrees out then it will freeze, stop working altogether, and will no longer sync. no need to reply, i'm too pissed to make a video review, i'd rather make a video smashing it with a rock or shooting it but since i can get my $100 back from costco i'll do that instead. this is not worth the hours of frustration folks.
We are deeply sorry for both the sensor connection trouble and now for the issues getting it reconnected to WiFi. As mentioned in our previous comments, it may be best to reach out to our support staff here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport for further assistance on these matters. We assure you we are here to help and would appreciate your patience as we try to do so.
@@lacrossetechnology thanks, there's nothing you can do. it's going back in the box and being returned, i'll find another brand that actually works and does what it's supposed to do! it's like driving down the road after having new tires installed and they go flat after 500 miles. it usually doesn't freeze in texas, but last night it did and we had 1/4" of ice in the back yard. this thing bit the dust in more ways than one and it's only 2 weeks old. what do the news stations and National weather service use? i bet theirs don't ice up and breakafter 1/4" of ice. no reply needed.
