I wish this was legal in Sweden, i know that some lights are better than others in certain positions to not blid the hell out of other drivers, i really want led in my lowbeam as it is brighter but wrong bulb/installing it wrong and it is a dazzling road hazard, rear lights tho i guess is ok as those dont need to be super bright
It’s a great tractor, I’ve had the CS2520 for 3 years now. Can I a suggestions 2 things to do. 1) Add a hood guard stick will punch out your grill very fast. 2) Add an undercarriage plate, the plastic hydraulic cooling fan Will definitely break just by running across tall grass or brush. The fan not a hard to change but after replacing mine 3times I smarten up, made a plate. Good luck to you.
@@briancummings634 appreciate the suggestions! I will definitely do that! But yeah so far it’s been great I have 25 hours in it now and it has been a work horse
@@TheLifeoftheZigswhen you turn all the way to left or right you can just turn the wheel a little more to get it where it’s straight at center. It’s hydraulic steering through an orbital valve not a steering box.
Thanks for the video, it was very informative. Bushings, bearings, whatever, don't listen to critics about terminology as it was the process that matters and not the words. When installing spindle bearings, if you use a long socket to hit with you can tell easier if it's going in straight and it won't hurt the middle part. for the flat bearings grease is necessary for long life. The outer washers will keep dirt out. Thanks for the torque wrench measurements as I was curious how much effort it really saved. The true purpose of the mod is to save wearing out expensive parts down the road such as spindles, tires, and steering components. I really liked the mod to hold the grabber to pick up sticks and such, that was a great idea! Was it a cut piece of PVC?
@@TheNovaNorm appreciate the feed back! But yeah! I just used a 1.5” PVC pipe and cut an opening on the top and then drilled holes on the side and zip tied it to the lawn mower!
I added rear wheel weights to my cs2520. Made a large difference in loader usability. I was tearing up grass when reversing up hill with nothing in the loader. The tractor is much more stable especially with working with the loader high. It's not worth your life. Will drastically reduce your likely hood of tip over. I only had mine for a week, and decided I had to have them to operate safely.
@@RavenholmZombie appreciate it! But yeah, hahahaha. It can damage the cable easily, but so far so good! And I’ve had a 1GB of speed both upload and download which has been amazing!
I bought one in 22 best investment i ever made got the backhoe forks an box blade just put 40 yards of hard pack down on my driveway built rock walls got 250 hours on it im thinking about getting the 25 horse but im keeping the 22
I've had mine just over a year now and still love it. My best add-ons to mine so far have been Ken's bolt on bucket hooks, bxpanded piranha tooth bar and lown performance diff lock pedal
@@tylerdoran3392 you can just plug it into an outlet and that’s it. The pump has a float in it that once it fills up with water, it will tell the pump to turn on and drain the water out.
@@traviscovington4294 those blades I had where mulching blades which is different from the ones I put on. Plus those where already sharpened a few times and to far gone to be sharpened again.
Darn it, mine does not have the extra holes. I have a DK OPG777(X) looks very similar but it does not have the extra holes. Glad I checked I had everything including extra teeth in my cart ready to go. I did find the OEM teeth are much cheaper at Menards than at Home Depot.
@@kylejohnston625 personally I find that the mulching blades don’t provide enough lift to send the leaves up into the leaf vac I have that does the mulching. But everyone has their own preferences!
I just did mine today on my 2024 S130. I thought my engine was damaged as I had never noticed that notch on the hole where there adapter goes that holds the old style oil filter. I've watched probably over 20 videos doing this and never noticed it. I found your video first trying to see if it was supposed to be there and noticed yours had it and what a sigh of relief that was to see. I also noticed my oil drain tube didn't free spin most the way in like most have shown. I did use John Deere parts but maybe it was cause I used some high heat sealant. Anyways thanks for the video!
Are you planning on adding the second system to pull air from home to attic to cool attic even more? I see the pourpuse of the attic fan, I am not really sure about the House fan, unless temps outside are lower than what you usually want to keep your AC at i see no use for it. Maybe if you know youre gone the whole day and had your AC off and want to quickly bring down the temp of house and attic before running your AC but otherwise not sure.
@@cobravenum No I’m not. The same company that made this fan does make a fan for that. However, it is about $1500 and would take years to recover that money that you invested into it. I will say tho that I have noticed my AC running not as much since the attic fan has been installed. And that is with the temperature roughly being that same as before it was installed.
@@TheLifeoftheZigs I hear you, I am in N GA and the summer temps can get into the high 90s with killer humidity. I was thinking of just the fan to release some of the heat that is rising up from the lower and second story up to the Attic and like you mentioned, that alone should help my AC run at least a bit less. I did watch another video after yours from a guy that did the second system and he proved my point, its pretty much usless in the summer time and part of fall but did come handy in the other months. Thanks for your reply.
Bout time people start realizing how badass hard work and efficient equipment and good operators are. I’ll finish off by saying the usually, mower paid for itself in time saved in just this video.
Should have removed the inside spindle bearings seals so the grease can access the bearings. Also feel you should have pregreased the poor man's bearing before install.
@@hansjansen5224 From the research I did the grease would reach the inside of the spindle bearings with how my mower set up. Also people did not recommend greasing the poor man’s bearings since they said it could cause dirt and debris buildup in the bearings. But we’ll see what happens!
I've done this myself last year. Did not notice much of a difference myself. But then again, I mower is OLD and quite tired. Actually needs new tires and steering rebuilt.
Nice video, brother! I’ve actually been contemplating something like this in my basement. If you were to do it over again, do you think you would use the chips? Also do you think that film that’s on the floor is from condensation or is that something that happens to epoxy
@@FixItFrench so yeah if I where to do it over again I would definitely use chips or use a lighter color as it would help hide the “dirtiness” of the floors. But the film is basically from using the floor and walking on it. It will come off however with black floors in general they tend to show anything and everything on them. So that’s where the chips will help hide the film on the floor.
@@research903 yes I realized I misspoke on the name of them after I posted the video. But they are enclosed bearings. However, I did grease the axel after I installed the wheel again.
@@TheLifeoftheZigs I'm not talking about the wheel bearings. I speaking about the three-part spindle bearing. The full name is "open form linear roller bearing". They need to be manually greased during assembly. Their location outside of the shaft housing prevents grease from the inside from properly reaching them.
@research903 yes I was informed by some people not to grease them since the grease would attract more dirt and debris. But we’ll see what happens they are cheap so if they fail it’s not a huge deal.
